Sonia Gandhi states that influence of dictatorship increasing in India

Congress President Sonia Gandhi addressed the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Chhattisgarh Assembly building to be built in Nava Raipur through a recorded message where she stated that anti- national forces are spreading hate and violence in India and that the influence of dictatorship is rising in the country.

She said, “For the past some time, an attempt is being made to derail our country. New challenges are have come before our democracy. Today the country stands at a crossroad. Anti-poor and anti- Nation forces are making people fight against each other.

She also said that the founding fathers of the country would not have imagined that the constitution and democracy will be in danger even though the country will complete 75 years of independence in next two years.

Further adding, she mentioned that today bad thinking is dominating god thinking and democratic institutions are in danger and there are many who want to choke the voice of the common people. At the stone laying ceremony she urged everyone to take a pledge to protect the foundation of democracy.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and state ministers were present at the venue for the function in Nava Raipur while Former Congrees chief Rahul Gandhi attended the programme via video conferencing from Delhi.
