“The incident is condemnable and insult to the Prime Minister. We demand that responsibility must be fixed for the security breach,” he said.

Mr Tanavade pointed out the Goa government was providing all the facilities and security as per the protocol to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who were visiting the state frequently in view of the assembly elections, dates for which are to be announced soon.

He alleged that the incident had occurred as Congress was afraid of losing forthcoming assembly elections in Punjab.
