As per the sources, Enforcement Directorate officials raided the residence of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. And confiscated Rs 11.50 lakh in undeclared cash today evening.
After conducting prolonged raids at his premises earlier in the day, ED authorities detained Raut. Moreover, in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case. Around 7 am today, ED detectives carried out the raid on Raut’s home.
The Shiv Sena leader declared that “he won’t be cowed down” shortly after being held by ED agents in connection with the Patra Chawl Land Scam Case.

Sanjay Raut was called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 28. Thus, in connection with the investigation into the Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam and the prevention of money laundering.

The attached properties are in the form of land held by Pravin M Raut, Sanjay Raut’s aide and a former director of Guru Ashish Construction Pvt Ltd, at Palghar, Saphale (a town in Palghar) and Padgha (in Thane district).
Varsha Raut also owns a home in the Mumbai neighbourhood of Dadar, and she and Sujit Patkar’s wife, Swapna Patkar, jointly own eight plots at Kihim Beach in Alibaug, according to a statement from the ED.
Sujit Patkar is considered to be a close friend of Sanjay Raut by the ED. The ED had stated after Pravin Raut’s arrest in February that he appeared to be “operating as a front”. Or in collusion with a powerful individual (s).
