Pakistan PM called Bin Laden a “Martyr”; Claimed it was a “slip of tongue”

Fawad Chaudhary the Pakistan federal information minister has said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan experienced a “Slip of Tongue” when he mentioned in his speech that Osama Bin Laden the slain Al-Qaeda is a martyr.

During the talk with the Geo news, Chaudhary mentioned that Pakistan considers Osama Bin laden a terrorist and that Al-Qaeda is a terrorist outfit.

Last year In June, during an speech by the Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan which was addressed to National Assembly, he had recalled that the Americans had conducted an operation in past which involved Abbottabad and “killed Osama Bin Laden.”

After the operation a viral video spread globally which showed Imran Khan lashing out at United States of America for how they had killed Osama Bin Laden. In that video Imran Khan was noticed saying, “Shaheed kar diya” which translates to “Martyred.”

Recently in an interview with the TOLO news, the foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed that Khans remarks were taken outside of context.

Qureshi added, “I will let it pass” when he was asked weather he disagreed about Osama Bin laden being a martyr.

Osama bin Laden was a head of the terrorist group famously known as Al Qaeda and he was the most important brain behind the 9/11 world trade tower attack in United States.

Osama Bin Laden was killed by a military operation conducted by the US navy seals in 2011 in Abbottabad.
