Mulayam Singh’s daughter in law Aparna Yadav likely to join BJP

Mulayam Singh’s daughter in law Aparna Yadav will join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday, a BJP leader said on Tuesday.

Mulayam Singh’s daughter in law Aparna Yadav will join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday, a BJP leader said on Tuesday.

“Aparna Yadav, wife of Mulayam Singh’s younger son Prateek Yadav, is going to join BJP tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10 am in the presence of Yogi ji,” BJP leader from Haryana Arun Yadav said in a tweet.

Speculations had been rife over Aparna, wife of Prateek Yadav, step-brother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

In 2017 assembly polls, Aparna had contested from Lucknow Cantt against BJP’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi. Joshi has been asking for the seat to be given to her son Mayank Joshi, and has also offered to give up her Lok Sabha seat for it.

BJP may field Aparna from the Lucknow Cantt seat, sources indicated.
