Independent MP from Assam Naba Kumar Sarania on Thursday said Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury should apologise for his alleged remarks against President Droupadi Murmu.

New Delhi, July 28: Independent MP from Assam Naba Kumar Sarania on Thursday said Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhuryleader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury should apologise for his alleged remarks against President Droupadi Murmu and asserted that it was not only against a tribal woman, also disrespect to the First citizen of India.

“Adhir Ranjan ji is an experienced man. I feel this is not a slip of tongue. If he had said this, then it is wrong,” Sarani told UNI after being asked about the objectionable remarks made by Chowdhury against the President.

He further said, “The remarks were not only against a tribal woman but also against the highest Constitutional position.”

“Adhir Ranjan ji should apologise for his remarks to end the controversy,” Sarania said.
He also asserted that due to the reamrks now BJP has got an opportunity to attack the Congress. Which will distract the issues concerning the public, including Goods and Services Tax.
