Police have detained these people for violating the Epidemic Disease Act. Bhim Army chief was booked under the same act after he visited the victim’s village.

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped and murdered in Hathras(UP). After this incident, she was admitted to a hospital then she was shifted to Delhi’s Safgardanj hospital, where she died. She stated to the police and said that she was raped. After her demise, she was taken to her village in Hathras, and her last rites were performed at midnight. The police personnel said that her last rites were performed by the permission of her family, while, the victim’s family and several media reports say that no permission was given to perform the last rites at midnight.

After this, many political parties came in support of the victim’s family and alleged UP police and government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi visited the victim’s village and met her family, and now, Congress is organizing several protests across the country against CM Yogi and his Government.
