“The alliance will definitely, 101 percent win the elections. You can take that in writing” , he told the reporters.

“Our alliance (with BJP) is confirmed. Only seat-sharing talks are going on. We will see who will contest where – our criteria for seat selection is purely winnability,” Amarinder Singh added.

The former chief minister had the bone of contentions with Navjot Singh Sindhu for months before he parted his ways with the Congress. And after he was fizzled out from the position of state Congress Chief , he eventually resigned from the party. He later announced his new party called Punjab Lok Congress.

The alliance between BJP and the new party is expected to overturn the orientation of the political situation in Punjab which initially in favour of the state’s ruling Congress.

The decision of “three Farm Laws repeal” has nothing but paved the way to this alliance which was announced in November by PM Modi.
