On Monday, BS Yediyurappa announced that he would be stepping down as the Chief Minister of Karnataka and would meet the governor after lunch and hand over his resignation.
The Karnataka Chief Minister had said that he had decided to resign and he spoke at a programme which marked the celebration of two years of the BJP government in the state. He mentioned about meeting the Governor after lunch as well.
BS Yediyurappa has put all the speculations to rest as he has resigned as the Karnataka’s Chief Minister on Monday, and he made the announcement in an emotional speech.
He also thanked the BJP central leadership and said that he would meet the state governor shortly.
BS Yediyurappa at an event marked for the two years of his government got emotional and said that each moment of his political life was an Agnipariksha.
There are eight candidates for the up taking of the resigned position; ie Karnataka’s CM post, and the BJP leadership would now decide the new Chief Minister of Karnataka in a meeting that might be held in the evening later today.
