BJP is most likely to release the first list of 50+ candidates for Bihar elections, today. The members of Bihar core committee including Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi and BJP’s in-charge for Bihar, Bhupender have arrived at the residence of BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda.

On Sunday, BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) conducted a meeting to finalise the names for all candidates for the first phase of the upcoming polls. The BJP will announce the list of the candidates for all three phases.

On Sunday, a dramatic exit of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) from Bihar’s NDA coalition was witnessed. BJP and Janata Dal (United) will probably share an almost equal number of seats for the upcoming three-phase Bihar polls.

According to sources, now, the LJP is out of the coalition, the JD(U) (including Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha) is most likely to contest on 122 seats and the BJP (including Vikassheel Insaan Party if it comes to the coalition) on the remaining 12.1.

The LJP decided not to contest the elections under CM Nitish Kumar as the leader of the coalition.
