Assam Elections 2021: PM Modi says in Bokakhat, “Assam will get double engine ki sarkar”

PM Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Bokakhat, Assam for upcoming Assembly Elections in Assam.

On Sunday, March 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bokakhat, Assam and addressed a public rally ahead of Assam Legislative Elections scheduled later this month. This is PM’s second visit to Assam for Election Campaign in a week.

In the rally, PM Modi said that Assam has now decided that it will get “double engine ki sarkar, doosri baar, BJP sarkar”.

In his speech, PM Modi also countered Congress party and said, “When Congress was in power at the Centre and in Assam, there was double negligence and double corruption. You have to remember that Congress means instability, corruption. They have no vision or intention to do any good”.

 

He further praised the Assam government for doing welfare and successfully fulfilling the responsibility and expectations for which Assam government has been elected.

PM Modi also said that the increasing land under forest in Assam is an opportunity to increase tourism and employment. “NDA government saved rhinos and sent the poachers behind the bars, besides Kaziranga was freed from encroachers”, PM Modi further said.

Elections in Assam is being scheduled to be conducted on March 27, April 1, April 6 2021 and results for the same will be declared on 2nd May 2021.
