Stephen Colbert claims Prince William’s alleged affair being the reason for Princess Kate’s absence from public eye

Stephen Colbert is acting like a detective when it comes to marriage between Prince Williams and Princess Kate.

“I’m afraid I’ve got some troubling news about England’s royal family,” said Stephen on Tuesday night episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He added that the internet sleuth have assumed that Kate’s absence may have been due to the future King having an affair.

After noting that his “heart goes out to poor Kate,” the host joked that he is ready to spill the tea, as his team member handed him a china cup with English drink.

Stephen alleged that the other woman involved is none other than “The Marchioness of Cholmondeley,” referring to Sarah Rose Hanbury.

“Now there have been rumors of an affair between William and [Rose] since 2019. According to tabloids, back then, when Kate supposedly confronted him about it, he ‘laughed it off saying there was nothing to it’. Aha, always a good response when your wife accused you of cheating.”

Rumors of alleged affair started making rounds in 2019 after it was reported by multiple reports that Kate and Sarah had a fallout over a the alleged scandal. Kensington Palace never commented on the speculation.
