Shiv Sena Majority Case: Who is real Shiv Sena, Thackeray or CM Shinde?

A new question has risen as to who is the real Shiv Sena party and whom should the people of Maharashtra trust for and recognize as the political spearhead of Bal Thackeray’s founding legacy.

Since the end of the Maharashtra Political Crisis and the formation of the new government by CM Eknath Shinde, the question has been lingering in the minds of the people as to which party is the real Shiv Sena party, the one led by CM Eknath Shinde or the one led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray.

The recent clash between MLAs in the Maharashtra Assembly in the form of rebellion by many MLAs has led to the question. Moreover, of whether the party led by Eknath Shinde is the actual party. Currently, Mr Shinde claims that he is the real or the actual Shiv Sena party but they need to prove their claims. With the support of 37 rebel MLAs.

As explained by former Lok Sabha Secretary General to the Times of India, the decision of which is the real party in this case solely resides in the hands of the Election Commission. And even if Shinde manages to secure the votes of 37 MLAs, ECI would decide whether his party is the real Shiv Sena or not.

Eknath Shinde has not dialed down his efforts to make people believe in him and his party. According to supporters of the Maharashtra Chief Minister. CM Eknath Shinde is addressing sizable crowds of “karyakartas “(workers) and urging them not to be alarmed by such letters since his group is the “real Shiv Sena.”

To meet with Shinde in person, rebel Sena MLAs from Shinde’s fraction of the party have been transporting party members. From their home districts all the way to Mumbai. Shinde has reiterated his commitment to the growth of their individual constituencies. While defending his choice to leave the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration throughout these conversations. Another tactic used by Shinde is uploading photographs from his interaction with people on social media. Claiming that he is the “real shiv sena”.

In the race to convince party members, the Thackerays have been contacting Shiv Sena members. And officials in an effort to persuade them. That people affiliated with the Shinde faction are puppets in the BJP’s purported scheme. To dismantle the Shiv Sena. Aditya Thackeray being an integral part of Shiv Sena is trying his level best. To reach out to members across the state and country.

Eknath Shinde faction had contacted the Election Commission of India Tuesday evening. Hence, to stake claim to the party emblem. After obtaining the backing of 12 of the Sena’s 19 Lok Sabha MPs. As well as senior party officials Anandrao Adsul and Ramdas Kadam. Reports confirm that Eknath Shinde had met several MLA’s in the last week. For the purpose of convincing them about his party’s motives. And to gain their support but the real battle lies ahead for the Maharashtra government.

Further updates on the matter are still awaited as proceedings with the EIC continue.
