The project is being funded by The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which she inspired and has been confirmed by Kensington Palace to Us Weekly that the princess has been kept updated throughout the process.

The main purpose of the campaign is to overlook a four month old trial of a baby observation tool, which is said to be used by health examiners to observe the social and emotional development in young children.

The tool was suggested by Princess Kate for usage in the UK, after seeing a similar system during a royal visit to Denmark.
