Patra Chawl Land Scam Case: MP Vinayak Raut assures Shiv Sena support for Sanjay Raut

As the ED recovers the cash vault, the Shiv Sena MP is in serious trouble. Whereas, Uddhav Thackeray-led faction from the Shiv Sena party shows full support to Sanjay Raut.

The Patra Chawl Land Scam Case prompted massive raids at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s “Maitri” home on Sunday, which further added to his problems. Following Raut’s failure to appear for two ED summonses. Moreover, a group of 12 agents paid a visit to his Mumbai residence. Raids were afterwards carried out at his Dadar apartment. Which his wife Varsha Raut is alleged to have purchased with money that had been laundered.

At Raut’s Bhandup house, a significant number of Shiv Sena members had gathered. They chanted anti-ED and pro-Raut slogans. They condemned the central probe agency’s action.

Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut provided a statement. Hence, in which he said that whether Sanjay Raut has been detained by the ED or not is still unclear. He added that the Shiv Sena party and all the true Shiv Sainiks (Uddhav Thackeray-led faction) are proud of Sanjay Raut for his loyalty & determination towards the party and extend their complete support to him (Sanjay Raut).

MP Vinayak Raut also mentioned, “We will not bow down in front of ED or the central government, no matter what happens.” He assured that Sanjay Raut shall never lack Maharashtra public confidence and he has full support from them.

Following Sanjay Rauts’ detention in the Patra Chawl Land Scam, Trinamool Congress (TMC) said on Sunday that the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) move against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut was an effort by the federal government’s governing BJP to silence “opposition voices.”

“This is an attempt to stifle opposition voices both inside and outside Parliament. Inside Parliament, you (BJP-led Centre) get opposition MPs suspended and outside. You use central agencies to threaten opposition leaders”. The TMC MP Santanu Sen stated. “The raid on Sanjay Raut’s residence is a reflection of vendetta politics,” Sen added.
