President of Reliance Industries Group, Mukesh Ambani has once again ranked number one in Forbes list of the richest Indians in 2019. And this time, adding $4.1 billion to his net worth following the success of his telecom unit Reliance Jio, Ambani has tackled the challenging times in Indian economic history.
“It was a challenging year for the nation’s wealthiest … economic growth slowed to 5%, a six-year low,” Forbes stated. Adani’s progress is quite remarkable as they jumped eight places to second.
As per the Forbes India Magazine, every business from the airport to the data center is successful because of the experiment. Azim Premji has been placed at number 17th in the list as his charitable endeavours cost a $21 billion.
The new entrants in the Forbes list are Byju Raveendran, founder of unicorn edtech Byju’s; Haldiram famed Manohar Lal and Madhusudan Agarwal; and Rajesh Mehra, who owns popular Jaquar brand of bathroom fittings.
