Maharashtra’s Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde stated that he has tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, September 24 and asked all those who had come in contact with him to get tested. He attended the Cabinet meeting earlier this week and is the 13th Minister in Maharashtra to test positive for the virus.
Taking to Twitter, he said” I conducted my COVID-19 test yesterday and have tested positive. Health is fine thanks to the blessings of you all. Requesting all who came in my contact over the past some days to take proper care and get themselves tested.”
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Maharashtra surged by 21,029, taking its tally to 12.63 lakhs. The state’s 12.63 lakhs cases include 2,73,477 patients who are undergoing treatment and 9,56,030 who have recovered.
