King of spices MDH Masala’s Mahashay Dharmpal dies, 98

India’s most aspiring entrepreneur and the king of Spices Mahashay Dharmpal Gulati passed away on 3 December at the age of 98 due to cardiac arrest.

Dharmpal Ji was the owner of India’s one of the most renowned spice brand MDH masale.
Popularly known as ‘Dadaji’ Dharmpal ji was famous for his MDH advertisements in which he regularly featured.
A school dropout, this successful entrepreneur was born in 1923 in Sialkot and joined his father’s spice business . After the India-Pakistan partition, he moved to India and opened a spice shop in Karol Bagh.
He owned 15 MDH factories which offered more than 60 products for consumers.
He was awarded with the Padma Bhushan in the year 2019 by the Government of India.
