‘I want to argue with him, I am fed up’, UP women move to Sharia court seeking divorce

In a very strange and unusal development from Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh,  a women approched to the Sharia court seeking divorce from her husband. On asking the reason she replied that her husband loves her too much and doesn’t fight with her.

On asking the reason she replied that her husband loves her too much and doesn’t fight with her. The women approched the Sharia court for divorce just after 18 months after her marriage.

The cleric of Sharia court was totally puzzled when he heard the reason of her divorce, later cleric rejected her plea calling it frivolous.

According to a report in Hindi Dainik Jagran, after the rejection of her plea at Sharia court the matter went to panchayat which also expressed its condition of not being able to do something.

‘Feeling suffocated’

Earlier, In Sharia law she claimed that she cannot digest her husband’s love. According to her “Neither husband shoute at me nor he ever get dissapointed with me over any issue. I am feeling suffocated in such an environment. Sometimes he cooks for me and also helps me in performing household chores,” the report quoted the women as saying.

According to the report, the women said she never had fight with her husband.

“Whenever I make a mistake , he always forgives me for that. I wanted to argue with him. I do not need a life where husband agrees to anything,” she added. Her answer was in negative when she was asked about any other reason of seeking divorce. Meanwhile, the women’s husband said he always wanted to keep his wife happy and addingly he requested the Sharia court to return the case. And finally, now the court has asked the couple to solve the matter mutually.
