Buckingham Palace issues statement over Princess Kate Middleton cancer diagnosis

Buckingham Palace has released a new statement regarding Princess Kate Middleton’s battle with cancer.

“The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery,” read the statement to Us Weekly on Friday, noting that Prince William will continue onto balancing his wife and family with his official duties, as he has done since the start of the year.

Kate, 42, confirmed on Friday that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

In her video statement, she mentioned how she has been advised by her medical team to undergo a preventative chemotherapy and that she is in the early stage of that treatment.

The Princess of Wales explained that she has been diagnosed with the cancer post undergoing her abdominal surgery in January this year.

As per the reports of Us Weekly, citing a source, the princess does not intend onto revealing what type of cancer she is diagnosed with.
