Vodafone Idea expands 5G services to 83 cities across India

Vodafone Idea has announced the expansion of its 5G services to 83 cities across 17 priority circles in India. This development marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its telecommunications infrastructure and service offerings.

The company provides voice services in all 22 service areas, covering 91.3% of India’s population, with its network reaching over 487,000 Census towns and villages. Additionally, Vodafone Idea‘s 4G platform is available in all 22 service areas, with coverage in over 414,500 Census towns and villages, reaching more than 86% of the population.

Vodafone Idea is also focusing on digital offerings, having launched several initiatives such as Vi Movies & TV, Vi Games, Vi Shop, and Vi Finance over the past two years. The Vi app has been enhanced with AI capabilities, including an AI-powered recharge assistant to help subscribers select the most suitable plans.

Vi Movies & TV, an OTT app available on various devices, offers access to over 20 OTTs and more than 300 live TV channels. The app has introduced microdramas in partnership with Bullet, aiming to scale content offerings and build distinct features to attract more consumers.
