Vistara flight attendant Kessang Bhutia became a lifesaver when she administered timely CPR to a two-year-old girl at Mumbai airport.

In a commendable act of bravery and quick thinking, Vistara flight attendant Kessang Bhutia became a lifesaver when she administered timely CPR to a two-year-old girl at Mumbai airport. The incident occurred at a boarding gate as Bhutia was awaiting the arrival of a flight, UK986, set to fly from Mumbai to Delhi. Bhutia sprang into action upon hearing distressed cries from a group of passengers. She rushed to the scene along with another flight attendant, discovering a child who was unresponsive and not breathing. Initially, they sought a nearby doctor without success, prompting Bhutia to take matters into her own hands. Without wasting precious time, Bhutia, along with fellow crew member Faizan Khan, performed CPR on the two-year-old. Thanks to her quick response and presence of mind, the child was successfully revived. An airline official shared, “She saw from a distance an unresponsive and breathless child and immediately went there. She tried to look for a doctor around, but unfortunately, there were none. Without losing time, she gave CPR to the child with the help of another crew member, Faizan Khan. Luckily, the baby was revived.” Bhutia’s prompt actions have earned her praise and appreciation for her life-saving efforts

The airline just added a long-range A321 aircraft to its inventory, and it will be configured with three classes (business, premium economy, and economy) to accommodate the five times weekly flight services, according to Vistara.

The 12th country outside of India that Vistara connects to Mumbai is Mauritius. The airline has already declared that from Mumbai, flying services will start the following month to Colombo and Dammam.

“Vistara announces the inclusion of Mauritius in its ever-expanding international network. In addition to being a well-liked vacation spot, Mauritius serves as a significant business centre and is the location of numerous international financial institutions.

According to Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, “This new route will further aid the growing traffic between the two countries,”

The Tata Group purchased Air India in January of last year, and Vistara, which is operated by Tata-Singapore Airlines, is in the process of integrating with it.

Additionally, the airline had earlier in January declared that it would begin operating daily direct flights between Mumbai and Dammam on March 1. For the services on this route, A320 neo aircraft would be used. The airline also announced that beginning on March 1 after an almost three-year absence, it would resume daily service between Mumbai and Colombo.

By the middle of 2024, the airline should have 70 aircraft in total, according to Kannan, who anticipates that it will continue to grow.

A321LR to its fleet, making it the first airline to do so, was just disclosed by the firm on February 6. In light of the company’s aim on growing its global network, it had previously stated that the Airbus A321LR would provide a variety of opportunities. The airline stated: “The A321LR aircraft has a total of 188 seats — 12 in business, 24 in premium economy, and 152 in economy class, and is equipped with 4-way adjustable headrests, in-seat power/USB charging points, in-flight entertainment system, as well as onboard Wi-Fi capability.

Air India, which was purchased by the Tata Group in January of last year, and Vistara, which is owned by Tata-Singapore Airlines, are currently integrating.

(With inputs from PTI)

Dia Mirza stated on Saturday that she was inconvenienced by an airline last night while flying to Delhi. Dia took to Twitter to address the problem.

Dia Mirza revealed on Saturday that she was inconvenienced by an airline while flying to Delhi last night. Unfortunately, she is not the only one who has complained about the situation; several other customers have also expressed their dissatisfaction with the airline after being left stuck for hours with no food or water. Due to poor weather in the national capital, the airline’s flight destined for Delhi was diverted to Jaipur and subsequently cancelled.

Dia turned to Twitter and addressed the issue. She wrote “UK904 to Delhi, is diverted to land in Jaipur. We waited inside the aircraft for 3hrs. Then we are told the flight is cancelled and are asked to disembark. NO ONE for the airport authority or Vistara to offer any help or answers. Where are our bags?”

Another passenger tweeted that “Flight landed at Jaipur around 23:00 hrs and we were stuck in the aircraft until 2:15 am. Later we were told the flight was cancelled and asked passengers to make their own arrangements to Delhi. @airvistara @JM_Scindia. We need help.”

Vistara responded to the post by saying that all passengers have been accommodated. Meanwhile, around 10:37 p.m. on Friday, the airline tweeted that the flight had been diverted to Jaipur due to severe weather conditions in Delhi. According to reports quoted by Mint, “At least 11 flights including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s flight scheduled to land in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were diverted to Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Agra due to the unfavourable weather conditions.”
