Cryin’ Chuck Schumer just said, for the whole World to hear, that ‘NOBODY RESPECTS BORDER PATROL OR ICE.’ That is one of the most egregious, incorrect, unpatriotic, and dangerous statements I have EVER heard from a ‘professional’ politician. HE MUST IMMEDIATELY APOLOGIZE TO THESE GREAT PATRIOTS, AND I MEAN NOW!”

An ex-Air Force intelligence officer told Congress on Wednesday that the US has been hiding a long-running program that recovers and decodes unidentified flying objects. The Pentagon refuted his allegations.

Retired Maj. David Grusch’s eagerly awaited appearance before a House Oversight subcommittee marked Congress’ most recent venture into the subject of UAPs, or “unidentified aerial phenomena,” the term the U.S. government employs in place of “unidentified flying objects.” Democrats and Republicans have advocated for further investigation as a national security issue in recent years due to worries that sightings reported by pilots may be connected to U.S. adversaries, despite the fact that the study of unexplained aircraft or objects sometimes inspires talk of aliens and “little green men.”

The head of a government task group on UAPs reportedly instructed Grusch to identify all highly classified programs connected to the task force’s goals in 2019. Grusch was assigned at the time to the National Reconnaissance Office, which runs American surveillance satellites.

“I was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program to which I was denied access,” he said.

When asked if the American government knew anything about alien life, Grusch responded that it’s possible that they have been aware of “non-human” activity since the 1930s.

Grusch’s allegations of a coverup have been refuted by the Pentagon. Defense Department spokeswoman Sue Gough said in a statement that the investigation has not turned up “any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.” UFOs that are not believed to be extraterrestrial objects were not mentioned in the statement.

Following his finding, Grusch claims he became a government whistleblower and has experienced reprisals for speaking out. He cited an ongoing inquiry as his excuse for declining to provide more details regarding the retaliatory measures.

“It was very brutal and very unfortunate, some of the tactics they used to hurt me both professionally and personally,” he said.

Zelenskyy addressed the Capitol complex through videoconferencing. He asked Congress to impose more restrictions on Russia & its lawmakers while showcasing a video of the destruction in Ukraine. “We need you right now, I call on you to do more,” said Zelenskyy.

“Peace is more important than income,” stated Zelenskyy on imposing more restrictions on Russia. After delivering a powerful speech the Congressmen gave a standing ovation to Zelenskyy.

Meanwhile, Russia has imposed sanctions on US President Joe Biden & other top officials. Zelenskyy is also at odds with Biden as the US President is avoiding to direct confront Russia. Biden has clearly stated that there will be no US troops or warplanes in Ukraine. “Direct conflict between NATO and Russia is World War III,” said Joe Biden.

US Senate has also ordered a probe against Russian President Vladimir Putin for his unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney is expected to push a bill in the US Congress on Wednesday, aiming to establish Diwali as a federal holiday in the country. According to the reports, the democrat Congresswoman from New York will be joined by an India caucus, including Congressmen Ro Khanna and Raja Krishnamoorthi and other advocates while introducing the bill.

Sanjeev Joshipura, Executive Director, Indiaspora, will also be joining the group to introduce the legislation as a representative of the Indian-American community members.

If the bill is accepted in Congress, Diwali would be recognised at all federal institutions with significant populations that engage in its celebration and acknowledge the culture of all the Indian Americans who celebrate the festival in the United States.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has been a longtime advocate for the recognition of India’s culture and heritage in the United States, and also an ardent supporter of the Indian diaspora. Earlier this year in August, she pushed for legislation to posthumously bestow Mahatma Gandhi with the Congressional Gold Meda, the highest civilian honour in the US, ahead of India’s independence day.

Maloney has also collaborated with several other advocates across the country to drive the efforts in pressing the US Postal Services to issue a stamp commemorating the festival of Diwali. Nearly 150 companies request US Congress to introduce voting rights act

Over 150 companies involving Apple Inc, Best Buy Co Inc and PepsiCo urged to the US lawmakers to bring forth and pass a voting reform act in a letter signed on Wednesday.

The companies asked the lawmakers to reinitiate the John Lewis Advancement Act. This is an amendment to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 named after the late US Representative John Lewis who died a year ago. The act would prevent voting discrimination and ensure improved system for the states to report changes in election law.

Chip Berg, CEO of Levis Strauss & Co, who is a signatory to the letter stated, “We have a duty to work until every American can participate in our democracy, but that won’t happen until every eligible voter in this country has fair, equitable and safe access to voting.”

The companies are among a group of corporate executives named Business for Voting Rights.

The companies through the letter put forward, “The Business community is proud of our role in encouraging our employees, customers and communities to exercise their rights to vote and have a say in our government.”

The US companies have voiced in the support of voting rights reforms and against restrictions on voting that have passed in the Republican controlled states along with Georgia. Few companies have even come under fire from the elected officials under this ground.

Former President Donald Trump along with his supporters made several unfounded claims that suggested that there was a massive voter fraud in the 2020 elections.

As per Reuters reports, Democrats are likely to reintroduce the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Another voting reform act, the ‘For the People Act’ has languished in the congress. On Tuesday, President Joe Biden commented in Philadelphia that the act must be passed. However, he did not mention a path for it to overcome the Republican opposition.
