CBSE says re-evaluation portal working fine amid student login complaints

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday said its Class 12 re-evaluation portal is functioning properly despite complaints from several students who reported technical difficulties while trying to access the system.

The board stated that only a limited number of login-related issues were reported earlier in the day and claimed that the portal was operating normally after necessary checks and monitoring.

The clarification came after students and parents raised concerns on social media and online platforms alleging that they were unable to log into the re-evaluation portal to apply for verification and answer-sheet related services following the declaration of Class 12 examination results.

Several students claimed they encountered issues such as login failures, slow page loading, session expiry errors and difficulty accessing the portal during peak hours.

CBSE officials said the technical team reviewed the system after receiving complaints and found no major disruption affecting overall operations. The board maintained that the portal remained accessible and functional for applicants.

The re-evaluation and verification process is considered important for students seeking review of marks, photocopies of answer sheets or re-checking of evaluated responses after board results are announced.

The issue gained attention because a large number of students typically attempt to access the portal simultaneously after the opening of the application window, often leading to temporary traffic-related pressure on online systems.

CBSE has increasingly shifted examination-related services, result processing and grievance mechanisms to digital platforms in recent years to streamline procedures and reduce manual processing delays.

Students continued sharing screenshots and complaints online throughout the day, with many requesting an extension of deadlines if technical issues persist.

The board has not yet announced any change in application schedules or deadlines related to the re-evaluation process. Officials advised candidates to continue attempting access through the official portal and follow updates issued by the board.

CBSE conducts board examinations for lakhs of students across India and abroad each year, making its digital systems critical during result declaration and post-result procedures.

Further monitoring of the portal is expected as applications for verification and re-evaluation continue over the coming days.
