Vijay’s TVK issues stern message to party workers over public behaviour

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has warned its cadres that “stringent action” will be taken against anyone found causing public nuisance or engaging in activities that inconvenience people during political programmes and public gatherings.

The warning comes amid increasing political activity by the party led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, ahead of upcoming political campaigns and organisational expansion efforts in Tamil Nadu.

According to party sources, the leadership has instructed cadres to maintain discipline during meetings, public appearances and political events. The party reportedly emphasised that supporters should avoid disrupting traffic, creating disturbances in public places or engaging in behaviour that could negatively affect the party’s image.

TVK stated that strict organisational action would be initiated against workers violating party instructions. The warning is being viewed as part of efforts by the party leadership to project a disciplined and people-centric political image as it strengthens its presence across the state.

The development follows several recent large-scale gatherings involving Vijay supporters in Tamil Nadu, where crowd management and public movement became major concerns in some areas. Political observers note that the party has been attempting to establish a structured organisational framework as it prepares for future electoral participation.

TVK has increasingly focused on expanding district-level units, youth outreach and grassroots mobilisation since Vijay formally launched the political party earlier. Party leaders have repeatedly stated that public service and disciplined political engagement remain central to the organisation’s approach.
