The UAE Foreign Ministry has praised President Donald Trump’s efforts aimed at peace, and at consolidating sustainable security and stability, according to the source material provided and related reports.

The remarks come as regional diplomacy continues around Gaza and wider West Asia, with the UAE previously welcoming Trump’s peace initiative and expressing confidence in his leadership.

The latest statements were made alongside renewed regional attention on security after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting scare in Washington.

During that incident, Trump and other senior figures were evacuated after gunfire was reported near the venue. Police later detained a suspect, and officials said the investigation remained ongoing.

According to the reports, the suspect was identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, from Torrance, California. Washington police said he was armed with a shotgun, a handgun and multiple knives.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said charges would be filed shortly. He also said the case remained under investigation.

Trump told reporters he was “very far away” when the shots were fired and said the suspect had not breached the room doors. He also said one Secret Service agent was hit but protected by a bulletproof vest.
