A car caught fire on the busy Mehrauli-Badarpur road in New Delhi on Tuesday amid intense heat conditions in the national capital, triggering panic among commuters and causing temporary traffic disruption in the area.

According to officials and eyewitnesses, flames were seen emerging from the vehicle while it was moving along the road stretch during the afternoon. The driver and occupants reportedly managed to come out of the vehicle safely before the fire spread further.
