Tata Power Adds 45,589 Rooftop Solar Units in Q1 FY26, Sets Record

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, recorded its highest-ever rooftop solar growth in Q1 FY26, achieving 45,589 new installations and adding 220 MW of capacity. This marks a 416% year-on-year increase compared to Q1 FY25, when the company installed 8,838 systems.

With this milestone, TPREL’s total rooftop solar installations now exceed 2.04 lakh, pushing the company’s cumulative installed capacity beyond 3.4 gigawatts (GW). The surge further strengthens Tata Power’s leadership in India’s rooftop solar segment and supports national efforts toward decentralised renewable energy adoption.

The record-breaking additions contribute directly to the government’s Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGY). TPREL is actively implementing this scheme through its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign, aimed at promoting residential rooftop solar adoption across India.

TPREL serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers, with more than 1.8 lakh installations in the residential sector alone. The company’s services are supported by a wide network of 604 channel partners and 240 authorized service providers, covering over 900 cities nationwide.

In addition to installations, TPREL is expanding its manufacturing capabilities, with a 4.3 GW solar cell and module production capacity in India. This end-to-end solar value chain—from manufacturing to rooftop deployment—positions Tata Power as a key contributor to India’s clean energy targets, including the national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

MAMAMOO’s Solar tests positive for COVID-19, sends sweet message to fans

According to an official announcement made by RBW on February 24 KST, MAMAMOO’s Solar just tested positive for COVID-19. Agency said, “Hello, this is RBW. We are informing you that our agency artist MAMAMOO’s Solar has tested positive for COVID-19.”

The RBW agency explain in their statement how she tested positive for COVID-19. Agency said, “after hearing that she was in close contact with a COVID-19 patient on February 23, she used a self-testing kit and tested positive. She immediately underwent PCR testing, and she was ultimately diagnosed with COVID-19 today.”

They also added that Solar has quarantined herself and is taking the required rest. They said, “Solar completed the third dose of his COVID-19 vaccine, and she has currently halted all activities and is taking the necessary measures as well as getting rest in keeping with guidelines set by government health authorities.”

They further assure that the artist’s wellbeing is their biggest objective. Agency said, “We apologize for causing concern to the fans. We will do our best for Solar’s quick recovery and consider the health and safety of the artist as a top priority. Thank you.”

Solar, on the other hand, is all set to make a comeback in March with her debut mini-album ‘容: FACE,’ after a year and 11 months.

On Tuesday, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the Global Investment Summit and said that his group would invest USD 70 billion to energy transition through solar and others.

“Chairman @Gautam_Adani says the battle against climate change must be fought with equitable and pragmatic policies. Speaking on the sidelines of the UK Govt’s Global Investment Summit in London, he called for setting practical goals and agendas to overcome the climate crisis,” Adani Group said in a tweet on Tuesday earlier.

Talking to business leaders on the interests of the UK’s Global Investment Summit at the London Science Museum, he requested fair and practical policies in the fight against climate change and suggested setting realistic goals and agendas.

Hydrogen, he said, is a game-changer, and the group’s green energy portfolio will grow to become one of the world’s largest green hydrogen producers. “Green policies and climate action not based on equitable growth will struggle in the long run,” he was quoted as saying in a statement issued by Adani Group.
