As the year 2024 draws to a close, IMDb has unveiled its list of the most popular Indian movies and web series of the year. In a surprise twist, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s Kalki 2898 AD has emerged as the most popular Indian movie of 2024, followed closely by Stree 2 and Maharaja.

On the web series front, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar emerged as the most popular Indian web series of 2024. The series was followed closely by Mirzapur, Panchayat, and Gyaarah Gyaarah. Tanya Bami, series head of Netflix India, expressed her delight over the inclusion of three Netflix series in the list, saying, “Seeing our Indian series earn the top recognition is truly heartening. Singham Again is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. The film, directed by Rohit Shetty, was originally intended to be released on August 15 and would compete with another blockbuster, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun. However, in order to avoid the clash, the creators of Singham Again have chosen to move the film’s release date.

Today, May 18, 2024, it was confirmed that Singham Again will now be released in theatres on November 15. However, it should be noted that Ajay Devgn’s other major picture, Raid 2, is set to release on the same day.

Will it be ‘Ajay Devgn Vs. Ajay Devgn’ at the box office this year, or will the producers of Raid 2 now change their release date? Only time will tell.

Tiger Shroff is set to join Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh during the first schedule of “Singham Again.” This schedule will involve a combination of dates with the characters Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi. The trio is expected to begin shooting by the end of September or early October, with Tiger joining them for a brief period of 6 to 7 days,” the source disclosed. Besides the combination dates, Tiger will also film his entry sequence, where his character’s personality will be introduced in the movie “Singham.”

According to the source, Tiger Shroff will have some solo portions in “Singham Again,” which will eventually lead to the core conflict of the film. He has allocated 12 days for the shoot, and he is willing to give more time as and when Rohit Shetty requires. Additionally, “Singham Again” is set to pave the way for a solo cop film featuring Tiger Shroff. The overall plan is to introduce two more cops, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff, through the movie, and eventually, they will have their own solo franchises. It was initially supposed to release on Diwali 2024, but now it’s been moved ahead to Independence Day 2024 which is a Thursday. So, the film will get a good long weekend at the box office. Ajay Devgn’s fan favourite ‘Singham’ franchise’s third chapter is set for release over the Independence Day holiday, according to a special announcement made today by the crew for filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s supercop franchise.

On August 15, 2024, Ajay Devgn will return to the big screen as Bajirao Singham in ‘Singham Again.’ Coincidentally, ‘Singham Returns,’ the previous chapter, was also released on August 15, 2014.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh publicly broke the news on Twitter, confirming the same. Initially, early sources claimed that the movie’s release date was set for Diwali 2024.

The fifth film in Shetty’s cop world is titled ‘Singham Again.’ After the release of “Singham” in 2011, “Singham Returns” in 2014, “Simmba” in 2018 and “Sooryavanshi” in 2020, the director gained a cult following among viewers and became known as the filmmaker of the common people. Shetty will also be making his digital debut with ‘Indian Police Force, which features Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi in the key roles, extending the swagger of the men in uniform on the internet.

According to earlier reports, the movie’s plot would centre on Singham’s struggle against anti-national forces that represent a threat to the country’s security. The plot, which will be based on Article 370, will be filmed in Kashmir, Goa, and Delhi.
