Since the government has allowed shootings to resume with strict precautionary measures, all our favourite TV shows have started or are planning to start the shoots for their respective shows. Akanksha Puri has shared pictures of herself in her famous character of Maa Durga from Vighnaharta Ganesh.

In a recent interview, Akanksha also said that her set has been shifted to Amgaon which she feels is a smart decision. She further expressed that she feels at home on a set and she cannot control her excitement to resume work. She also revealed that the cast and crew consist of only 40 people right now and are starting their shoots in full swing. She added that no one is permitted to come in or leave the set and the producers are making sure that all safety measures are taken seriously.

For Akanksha’s fitness and health regime, the producers have made a special room with a gym which she is extremely pleased about. She lastly said that she is starting with a fight sequence but is finding it difficult to wear the elaborate costumes, jewellery and makeup

India’s Best Dancer to resume shoot from July 13 with proper precautions, insurance for everyone

Amidst lockdown, Indian TV soaps restarted the shooting and now reality shows will resume their work. These shows depend on live audience , hence they are in for a big change. Sony TV’s India’s Best Dancer, judged by Geeta Kapur, Malaika Arora and Terence Lewis, and hosted by Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, is expected to be back from third week of July.

Producer Ranjeet Thakur said that there will be no live audience, “We will miss their energy, but there will be a better equation between the judges and the contestants as the former will be the sole spectators,” he reasons to a known newspaper. Thakur has cut down the crew from 500 to 160-180. Every department will have different areas and they won’t cross paths. The zero physical touch rule has been applied on the sets.

Further, it has been revealed that there will be no stunt based performances for the first four weeks to minimise manpower. Only six contestants will be permitted to stay at stage area. After their performance, they will move to another area and the other six contestants will enter. No family member will be allowed on set and any interaction required will take place through video or voice calls. Gloves, masks and face shields are mandatory. The sets will be sanitised in intervals.

“Everyone on the floor will be insured, including contestant crew, judges and the hosts,” Thakur said to the news portal, as they prepare to start rehearsals from July 1. Few choreographers will be replaced as they will be busy taking care of their family in this difficult situation.

Photographer Sharat Chandra welcomes decision to let film industry resume shooting

As the country has entered the fifth phase of the Corona crisis lockdown as well as Unlock 1 (as it is called) from June 1, 2020, the Maharashtra government has put across some stringent guidelines for film and television shootings to resume.

Giving the green signal to resume film, television and streaming services shoots with strict preconditions, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has issued a set of Standard Operating Procedures, titled “Guiding Principles to Restart Entertainment Industry in Maharashtra.” These set of ‘principles’ and measures will be active until further notice.

Ace photographer Sharat Chandra has welcomed the government’s decision. An elated Sharat says, “The Indian film industry, like most other industries, has suffered a huge setback during the lockdown. I heartily welcome the government’s decision to slowly and steadily open the doors for the film industry to get back on its feet.”

“Considering the fact that cricket and Bollywood are just like religions in India, its time when people stranded inside their homes for so long, are permitted to have a bit of respite. The very fact that they would now feel that they can see their Bollywood idols back on the screen soon, is a heartening thing,” adds Sharat.

Bollywood to resume shooting

Under the new rules, producers who wish to conduct shoots in the city will have to seek permission from the managing director of the Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation (Film City). Film shoots across other cities or districts in Maharashtra will need permission from the collectors of those districts.

An important regulation is that the state government has recommended an on-set crew of a third of the original strength. The presence of an ambulance, a doctor and a nurse will be compulsory on every set, along with the monitoring of the body temperature. A significant ruling is that children below the age of 10 and adults over the age of 65 will not be permitted to participate in the shooting.
