Police to file defamation charges on people spreading rumors about Disha Salian’s death

It’s been two months since Disha Salian’s death took place. After various rumors and conspiracy theories linking to Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager, police has prompted an investigation. The Mumbai police have also appealed to people to come forward only if they have ‘authentic information’ and report for the same to the Malvani police station.

Two months since Salian allegedly fell from the building the police have so far recorded the statements of about 25 people including family, friends, neighbors and security personnel, apart from others related to the matter.

Disha’s parents approached the police to take action against such false reports that are allegedly ‘tarnishing their daughter’s image’, and also there has been no new findings or links between the two cases, so now the police have reportedly decided to strike defamation charges against those involved in spreading false and misleading claims, states a report in a daily.

The report further goes on to state that investigations in the matter are still going on and that if anyone has viable information on the same, they can reach out to the police.

Recently, politician Narayan Rane created an uproar when he alleged that Disha was “raped and murdered”, a claim that has been proven false taking into account the autopsy report that dismissed claims of any sexual assault.
