The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a money laundering case against Gameskraft technologies Pvt Ltd and associated entities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), with three company founders arrested following searches across Karnataka and the National Capital Region, according to sources cited by CNBC-TV18

Sources said the investigation stems from multiple FIRs alleging cheating and fraud linked to the company’s online real-money gaming platforms, including RummyCulture and the RummyTime app. Investigators are probing allegations connected to an estimated ₹1,000 crore online betting and gaming-linked fraud.

The ED conducted searches at 17 locations linked to Gameskraft group companies, founders and employees across Karnataka and NCR on May 7. According to sources, the raids continued till early Friday morning, during which investigators allegedly recovered multiple incriminating documents and digital evidence.

Three founders — Deepak Singh, Prithvi Raj Singh and Vikas Taneja — were arrested under Section 19 of the PMLA on May 8, sources said.

Deepak Singh and Prithvi Raj Singh were reportedly arrested in the NCR region, following which the agency obtained transit remand to produce them before a court in Bengaluru. Vikas Taneja was arrested in Bengaluru and later produced before the jurisdictional court.

Sources further stated that several FIRs linked to the case also involve allegations related to suicides committed by victims allegedly affected by the gaming platforms. However, authorities have not yet publicly disclosed detailed findings regarding those allegations.

According to sources, the ED believes the founders were prima facie involved in generating and handling proceeds of crime connected to alleged illegal online betting and gaming activities.

The current enforcement action is reportedly separate from an earlier ED investigation involving Gameskraft-linked entities. In November 2025, the agency had conducted searches in Bengaluru and Gurugram in connection with allegations tied to online gaming platform Pocket52.

Neither Gameskraft nor the arrested founders have publicly responded to the latest allegations so far. Further investigation in the matter is ongoing.
