A tragic road accident in Karnataka’s Belagavi district claimed the lives of three members of a family, including a nine-month-old infant, after a motorcycle collided with a mini goods rickshaw near Raibag Railway Station Road, police officials said on Sunday.

The impact of the crash was so intense that three people died on the spot or succumbed to injuries shortly after being shifted to hospital.

Police confirmed that among the deceased was a nine-month-old baby, while another child sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby medical facility. Doctors said the injured child remains under close observation.
