Rumours had been circulating wildly after director Ram Gopal Varma announced his next upcoming film Syndicate, with speculation suggesting that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, as well as actors Fahadh Faasil and Manoj Bajpayee, were being considered for key roles. However, the director has now stepped forward to quash these rumours, putting an end to the buzz surrounding the film’s cast.

Setting the Record Straight

A report in Telugu 360 claimed that the film will feature an ensemble cast from Bollywood and South film industry. It stated that megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in an extended cameo role. However, Ram Gopal took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to dismiss the ongoing speculation around the casting for his next film, Syndicate. Calling the reports false, the director said that he will share the details when they are ready. “There are all kinds of speculations going around the casting of SYNDICATE film which are all completely FALSE,” Ram Gopal wrote on social media. He added, “Will share the details when ready”.

Several social media users took to the comment section to express their excitement, and in fact, some shared their wish list as well. “Waiting boss,” wrote one user, with another mentioning, “Please cast Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap”. “It’ll be interesting to see the real details once they’re officially revealed,” wrote one user.

What We Know About Syndicate

According to Ram Gopal, the film is set to explore the rise of a terrifying criminal organization that threatens India’s very existence. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), he explained the conceptual evolution behind Syndicate, noting that while street gangs were a significant threat in India in the past, the real danger today lies in the formation of a powerful syndicate comprising various factions, including political forces, law enforcement, ultra-rich businessmen, and even military personnel. Syndicate will address how the intense polarisation in the country today makes it ripe for such a dangerous group to emerge, as per the director’s post.

Syndicate, Ram Gopal explained, is not a film about supernatural horror but rather an exploration of the horrific potential of human beings. The filmmaker emphasised that the movie will expose the cyclical nature of crime and terror, illustrating how criminal organizations evolve into even more deadly forms over time. As Ram Gopal puts it, “Crime and terror never die; they keep coming back in more deadlier forms”. At the end of his post, the filmmaker wrote: “I took a VOW to WASH AWAY all my CINEMA SINS that I committed over the PAST FEW YEARS with this JUST one SINGLE film called SYNDICATE.” He has also promised that Syndicate will be a scary film not because of supernatural elements but because it will delve into the dark truths of human nature and the potential horrors that may lie ahead.

Ram Gopal Varma sentenced to three months in cheque bounce case: Report

In a shocking turn of events, film director Ram Gopal Varma has been sentenced to three months of simple imprisonment in a cheque bounce case by the Andheri Magistrate Court in Mumbai. The case, which was filed in 2018 by a company named Shree, pertains to a cheque dishonoured under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

A Seven-Year-Long Battle

The court issued a non-bailable warrant in Varma’s name after hearing the case for seven years. The director was found guilty and must pay ₹3.75 lakh to compensate the complainant. If he fails to pay the amount within three months, it will result in an additional three months of imprisonment. Varma was granted bail in June 2022 after providing a personal bond and a ₹5000 security deposit.

Varma reacted to the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “With regard to the news about me and Andheri court, I want to clarify that it is to do with a 7 year old case of ₹2 lakh 38 thousand amount , relating to my ex-employee .. My advocates are attending to it. and since the matter is in court i cannot say anything further.”

Career Not Affected

Despite this setback, Varma’s professional life is thriving. He last directed the 2024 film Vyuham, which revolves around the untimely death of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He also features in a cameo role in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The director recently announced that he will helm a film titled Syndicate, which he claims will be a “very scary film” that exposes the horrors human beings can do.

An individual movie company or a production house will ask you to do a film at a particular cost, so how can he generalize Bollywood, I don’t understand that. Mukesh Bhatt previously told India Today that he respects Mahesh Babu’s origins and that he has an ‘X’ value for the talent he has produced over the years. Director Ram Gopal Varma has announced the release of his next film “D Company” just a week after the Mumbai Saga release. According to a source D company is an unworld film based on Dawood Ibrahim. Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Murder’ approved for release by High Court; subject to conditions

Ram Gopal Varma’s Telugu film, ‘Murder’ has been cleared by the Telangana High court on Friday (6th November). The film is based on the real-life story of Perumalla Pranay (24), a Dalit murdered by his upper-caste father-in-law, T Maruthi Rao two years ago.

The above-mentioned case dates back to 14th September 2018 in Nalgonda when a contract killer hired by Rao murdered Pranay in broad daylight as Pranay was coming out of a hospital with his pregnant wife Amrutha. Rao did not agree with marriage and hence got Pranay killed. Four days later, Rao, his brother Sravan and three others were arrested by Nalgonda Police in connection with the murder. They were released on bail later. Even after Pranay’s murder, Rao had repeatedly struggled to bring his daughter back home. He committed suicide on 8th March 2020.

Inspired by the case, Varma made this film under the banner of Natti’s Entertainment. When Varma released the promo on YouTube, Amrutha moved to a special court for SC/ST cases. She demanded to stall the film’s release. She also asked that the promo of the film be withdrawn from YouTube. Amrutha argued that Varma was trying to earn from the family’s tragedy while she’s still suffering the trauma of losing her husband and father.

On 24th August, the court had stalled the release of the film and the promo. Therefore, Varma approached the High Court. On Friday, a division bench of the state high court comprising justice M S Ramachandra Rao and Justice T Amarnath Goud nullified the order by permitting Varma to release the film, subject to certain conditions. The conditions include not taking the names of Amrutha, Rao, and Pranay in the film and its publicity material. The bench also ordered Varma to not refer to any incidents that happened in Amrutha’s life.

Varma welcomed the decision. Post-hearing, he tweeted, “VERY HAPPY to inform that our good intentions of making the film MURDER has been rightly understood by the honourable COURT ..Details will be given once the order is with us ..THANKING EVERYONE”.

The actress who has been under the scanner for being involved in Sushant Singh Rajput‘s case is currently undergoing media trial. “In the case of Rhea Chakraborty, I don’t think anyone cares if she is guilty or not. Day in and day out she is being badgered and being portrayed as a witch or a murderer,” Ram Gopal Varma said. If they have the rights and freedom to talk, you too have the freedom to talk.”

Talking about how lies in media is repeatedly told to turn it into truth, he said“I feel there is something extremely wrong going on and the way it is going I feel it is going to get worse and worse if nobody talks. So I request all to open your voice and speak your heart out and speak strongly about what you think is right and what is not. When asked about how he got the idea to make this film, Ram Gopal Varma said, “See, the point is, I happened to see a few shows on the ongoing Sushant Singh Rajput issue and I was shocked at the way he characterises Bollywood and making gross generalisation as if he knows the inside out of everybody in Bollywood sitting inside his Republic studio and he calls them rapist, murderers and what not. One thing I could not understand, in his head he is connecting the death of Divya Bharti, sometime in ‘95 or ‘94 like that, then Sridevi, then Jiah Khan, then of course Sushant. He makes it seem as if all of them are one case and the murderer is Bollywood.”

“Arnab would not hear anyone else’s opinion except his own opinion. He decided that there is something about Bollywood that is extremely wrong, bad, monstrous and he calls it dirtiest, rancid and all the names. I was pretty much upset and what really shocked me after he said Divya Bharti died and shame on Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. What has Salman and Shah Rukh got to do with Divya Bharti? It is a well known fact that Divya Bharti was drunk and she was sitting on the window sill and tipped over and in the presence of costume designer Neeta Lulla and her husband. That everybody knows whoever was there at that time. He makes it like a mystery after 25 years without knowing anything about it,” he added.

It is common sense that when this kind of allegation is coming from a premium channel of India your silence will seem to the public like you are accepting whatever he is talking about and I couldn’t take that at all. I will respond to something that is happening. I have always made realistic films. I take something from what’s happening and today the news media is a very very big part of people’s life. It is constantly feeding people in terms of information, it is making them take decisions, making them form opinions and all this is directed by some people. They might claim they just want to report, which is not how it happens, especially in the case of Arnab, because he will kind of hammer his opinion into your head as the truth. You know, I thought it is high time he needs to be exposed.”

“And the reason mainly I am doing that is because you can’t go to his show. If you go to his show, he does two things- whenever anyone says opposite to what he is saying he will shut his mouth and make a face and then he will send a signal to his viewers that this guy does not know what he is talking about or he is ‘bik chuka hai’ (a sellout) or he has joined hands with others and blah blah blah. There are some dirty tricks like cutting off the audio and things like that. So the only way I can probably do it is by making a kind of a docudrama where I kind of dissect exactly his modus operandi and way of operation,” he said talking about the reason for making the film.

“And I don’t even know whether he has an agenda. I think his agenda is to look like a hero. He wants to walk in slow motion like Salman Khan and look like the biggest hero of all in the country. To make people feel that because of me Shah Rukh is running scared, Karan Johar is hiding under the bed, Aditya Chopra is not coming out of his bathroom. This is the kind of signal he is sending and why they are not reacting to it, I am completely dumbfounded about it,” he added sharing his thoughts on Arnab Goswami.

The demise of ‘Dil Bechara’ actor created a lot of debates and also exposed the darker side of the Bollywood Industry. As various news channels has been holding on debates regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, Arnab Goswami the Editor in Chief of Republic TV is seen questioning a lot of people who were linked with the late actor.

Now, Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took on Arnab Goswami and announced on his Twitter handle that he will be making a film on the news anchor. He expressed his anger towards Arnab in a series of tweets and explained he is going to make a movie on him. Varma tweeted, “Was shocked to see #ArnabGoswami talking about Bollywood in such a horrible way ..He calls it the dirtiest industry ever with criminal connections ,it’s full of Rapists, gangsters, sexual exploiters and what not?It beats me in what dumb way #ArnabGoswami can combine the deaths of Divya Bharthi,Jiah khan, Sridevi and Sushant into one case and claim that the murderer is Bollywood..incidentally the 4 deaths happened over a span of nearly 25 years.”

He further added, “And in all the four cases of Divya,Jiah,Sridevi and Sushant there were completely different people and circumstances ..But in Arnab’s mind they are all one and had been killed by an entity called Bollywood.”

Ram Gopal Varma further said, “That guy #ArnabGoswami is banking on the fact that we don’t have the spine and as long as he runs the debate he will anyway make sure no one’s point of view is ever heard and that’s his modus operandi anyway.”

He added, “I for one am feeling very strongly about this and I decided to make a film on #ArnabGoswami in which I will take the clothes off his facade and make him naked exposing the lengths and breadths of all his vital corrupt stats.”

Reports of the filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s one of the crew member’s tested positive for COVID-19 was floating around. Recently, Ram Gopal Varma took to his social media handle and clarified all the reports of his crew member test positive. He did this clarification on Twitter. He wrote, “News circulating that we stopped shooting work because one of our team has tested positive is incorrect. In fact, we made everyone involved go through a test before shoot start and all tests came negative ..We are stringently following all guidelines.”

Meanwhile, the Satya director made headlines when he posted a picture of Pawan Kalyan’s lookalike and revealed the name of his next film, Power Star.
He wrote, “BREAKING NEWS: My next film on RGVWORLDTHEATRE is titled POWER STAR ..it will be starring P K, M S , N B , T S, a Russian woman , four children , 8 buffaloes and R G V ..No prizes will be given for understanding who the characters are #RGV’sPOWERSTAR.”

Ram Gopal Verma announces his next OTT film ‘Naked’ with Mia Malkova and calls ‘Climax’ ‘A theatre fu**ing successful movie’

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma is making headlines because of his sizzling movie ‘Climax’ which featured adult star Mia Malkova. Climax released on the digital platform RGVWorld.in on 6th June,’20, on pay per view basis. This is the first attempt of the filmmaker to release content on OTT platform.

After the movie received love from people across the country, Ram Gopal Verma could not contain his excitement in sharing the news with his followers about the next movie. The filmmaker announced the title of his next ‘NAKED’ with a sensual poster featuring Mia Malkova again in his movie.

Dropping the poster on his social media account, Ram Gopal Verma wrote, “After the THEATRE FUCKING SUPER SUCCESS of #RgvWorldTheatre’s #CLIMAX on http://RGVWorld.in/ShreyasET our next film trailer of NAKED will be releasing tmrw 8 th June at 5.30 Pm.” He also shared the poster of Naked on his Twitter handle.
