Ceigall India Limited (CIL) has been awarded a significant contract to set up a 100 MW Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Punjab, with the project valued at approximately ₹250 crore. The contract was awarded by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) under a Tariff-Based Global Competitive Bidding process.

The project involves the establishment of a battery storage plant that will operate under a long-term Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) for 12 years. The tariff amount for the project is set at ₹3,44,000 per MW per month. The execution of the work is expected to be completed within 18 months, followed by a 12-year operational period commencing from the scheduled commissioning date.

The contract is domestic in nature and does not involve any related party transactions. Ceigall India confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory norms.

This development marks a significant step for Ceigall India in the renewable energy sector, as the company continues to expand its footprint in energy storage solutions.
