Airtel launches Priority Postpaid service with advanced 5G slicing technology

Bharti Airtel has unveiled its latest service, Priority Postpaid, which utilises 5G slicing technology to provide a superior and more consistent network experience for postpaid customers. This new offering is designed for customers who require uninterrupted connectivity for work, entertainment, or online collaboration.

The Priority Postpaid service marks a significant upgrade to Airtel’s 5G network, incorporating advanced slicing technology to enhance network efficiency, create additional capacity, and deliver a superior experience to Priority customers. By dynamically segmenting network capacity, Airtel ensures a stable and reliable service for postpaid users, even during peak traffic periods.

This launch is India’s first of its kind, following similar introductions of slicing-based 5G services in countries such as the USA, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia. Airtel’s initiative underscores its commitment to building a smarter, more resilient digital network and highlights its focus on customer-centric innovation.

The Airtel Priority service is available to customers on all postpaid plans, with existing customers automatically receiving the benefits. Prepaid customers or those wishing to switch to Airtel Priority postpaid can do so via the Airtel App or by visiting any Airtel Store.

Priority Postpaid plans offer a range of benefits, including priority on 5G with Fastlane Technology, fraud detection, spam alert services, unlimited data and calling, and various entertainment subscriptions such as Amazon Prime, Jio Hotstar, Apple TV+, and Netflix, depending on the plan.

Customers can access the Priority service on any 5G SA-enabled smartphone with the latest software upgrades. Those needing an upgrade will see a pending action in their phone’s settings. Phone readiness for Airtel Priority services can also be checked via the Airtel App.
