Prime Minister Modi said, 'India's vibrant culture and ancient heritage attracts tourists from all over the world.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said his government is working to institutionalise the global cultural initiative and develop a modern system on the lines of similar events in cities like Venice, London and Sao Paulo.

In his address after inaugurating the first ‘India Art, Architecture and Design Biennale (IAADB) 2023’ at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi said that such events should get global recognition in the form of similar events in some cities of the world. He cited the rich ancient history of the country in the field of culture, architecture and artefacts and gave examples of development and renovation of holy places like Kedarnath and Mahakal and said that it is with a sense of pride to develop places associated with Indian art and architecture. A lot of work is happening.

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘India’s vibrant culture and ancient heritage attracts tourists from all over the world.’ Noting that India is the most diverse country, he said that art and culture have been a source of diversity as well as unity, which both connects people and spreads harmony.

The Prime Minister said, ‘When my government talks about culture, we welcome and support all types of diversity.’ He said that India showcased its diversity through many programs during its presidency of the G20. He said that art, culture and architecture flourish only in an environment of freedom of thought, because diversity increases in the culture of debate and dialogue.

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘We are the most diverse country in the world, but this diversity also binds us together.’ He said that the launch of ‘cultural sites’ in five cities – Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi is a historic beginning and will enrich them.

The Prime Minister said that literature, art and music differentiate between humans and other species.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tulsi Peeth at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, where he took the blessings of Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tulsi Peeth at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, where he took the blessings of Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya. After this, PM Modi also addressed a public event, where he applauded Indian culture and lashed out over slavery mentality. PM Modi’s visit was crucial as assembly elections are approaching in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

“I am overwhelmed by receiving the blessings of Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya ji along with worshiping in the glass temple of Tulsi Peeth in Chitrakoot. This divine occasion will be unforgettable for me,” wrote PM Modi in a social media post on X (previously Twitter).

pic.twitter.com/tZ9crnxwKP

— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) October 27, 2023

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said that Ram temple in Ayodhya will be ready soon. He also appreciated the contribution of Hindu spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya in its construction.

“The intelligence of Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya ji, who composed hundreds of religious and spiritual texts, is like the heritage of the entire nation. I am happy that we all are getting Swamiji’s guidance in taking the country forward,” said PM Modi.

Furthermore, PM Modi also said that Sanskrit is not only the language of traditions but also the language of our progress and identity. “Even today there is a feeling of hatred towards Sanskrit among people with slavery mentality, whereas in the last 9 years we have made extensive efforts to spread it,” said PM Modi.

“How many languages have come and gone in the world over these thousands of years, new languages have replaced the old languages. But our Sanskrit is still equally intact and stable,” added PM Modi.

Tulsi Peeth is an important religious and social service institution in Chitrakoot. It was established in 1987 by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya. It is one of the leading publishers of Hindu religious literature.

New Delhi/Sydney, May 23 : More than 20,000 members of the Indian diaspora have packed the Qudos Arena at Sydney Olympic Park and are waiting excitedly to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address there today.

Though Tuesday 23rd May is a usual working day for the almost 800,000-strong Indian Australian community, however, nearly 21,000 of them have decided to take a mid-week furlough from the work schedule to attend the grand welcome ceremony for Prime Minister Modi at Qudos Bank Arena Stadium.

Among these are 177 people who have flown from Melbourne to Sydney on a special flight called “Modi Airways”.

In March, the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation’s organising committee meeting floated the idea of a Modi Airways charter plane.
“The mood is extraordinary,” said Jay Shah, a director of the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation which is staging the reception. “There’s a lot of excitement in the Indian community right now.”

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is to attend the event at Olympic Park.

Indian High Commissioner Manpreet Vohra is quoted as saying: “Prime Minister Modi really wants to engage with the Indian-Australian community, it’s a way of saying thank you to them for being an important bridge between the two nations.”

Elaborating on the Modi Airways, Jay Shah told The Australia Today earlier, “The idea that we will chant “Modi Modi” at 10-15,000 feet in the skies excited everyone the moment it was proposed in a planning meeting in March.”

“With Modi Airways we are creating a history”.

Earlier in the day today, all passengers travelling in Modi Airways assembled at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport at 7 am for an extraordinary show of Indian cultural dance on the beats of dhol and dhokla and laddu breakfast.

PM Narendra Modi called upon the world to follow and take an "integrated approach" when dealing with the impact of disasters.

New Delhi, Apr 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called upon the world for taking a “integrated approach” to deal with the impact of disasters and said “Infrastructure must leave none behind and serve the people even during times of crisis”.

“In a closely connected world, the impact of disasters will not just be local. Disasters in one region can have a big impact on a completely different region. Therefore, our response has to be integrated, not isolated” he said at the 5th edition of the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, ICDRI-2023.

He noted that in just a few years, over 40 countries from advanced and developing countries, large or small or from global South or Global North have become part of the CDRI. He found it encouraging that apart from governments, global institutions, private sectors and domain experts are also involved.

Modi underlined the intelligent use of local knowledge of building infrastructures that can with-stand disasters.

“Modern technology with local insights can be great for resilience. Further, if documented well, local knowledge may become a global best practice,” the Prime Minister said.

Mentioning India’s G20 presidency, the Prime Minister informed about inclusion of the CDRI in many working groups. “The solutions you explore here will receive attention at the highest levels of global policy-making,” he said.

Referring to the scale and intensity of the recent disasters like the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, the Prime Minister concluded by underlining the importance of CDRI’s work and its importance.

Noting the inclusive intent of some of the CDRI initiatives the Prime Minister mentioned the Infrastructure for Resilient Island States initiative or IRIS which is benefitting many island nations.

Talking about the Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund that was announced last year he said “This 50 million dollar fund has generated immense interest among developing nations. “The commitment of financial resources is key to the success of initiatives”.

The Prime Minister outlined some priorities for discussion for disaster resilience infrastructure in the context of this year’s theme of ‘Delivering Resilient and Inclusive Infrastructure’.

He said “Infrastructure is not only about returns but also about reach and resilience. Infrastructure must leave none behind and serve the people even during times of crisis.”

The Prime Minister stressed the need for a holistic view of infrastructure as social and digital infrastructure are as important as transport infrastructure.

Modi said CDRI arose from a global vision that in a closely connected world, the impact of disasters will not just be local. Therefore, “our response has to be integrated not isolated”, he said.

Noting that in just a few years, over 40 countries from advanced and developing countries, large or small or from global South or Global North have become part of the CDRI.

“It is encouraging that apart from governments, global institutions, private sectors and domain experts are also involved” he said.

The Prime Minister of India launched CDRI during his speech at the UN Climate Action Summit on September 23, 2019, with an aim to promote the resilience of new and existing infrastructure systems to climate and disaster risks in support of sustainable development. Currently the CDRI has 31 member countries and eight organisations.

Through Digital India, 4G services that were previously only available in major cities have now been extended to every village. "Internet connectivity has brought a new dawn," Modi addressed.

New digital entrepreneurs are emerging in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday during his ‘Mann ki Baat’ address. Through Digital India, 4G services that were previously only available in major cities have now been extended to every village. “Internet connectivity has brought a new dawn,” Modi stated.

Modi said on the 92nd episode of ‘Mann ki Baat,’ “Like, earlier people used to be happy when electricity reached the village; now, in new India, the same happiness is felt when 4G reaches there.”

“There has been a new sunrise in the form of 4G in the remote areas of Arunachal and the North East; internet connectivity has brought a new dawn,” Modi added.

He claimed that Digital India has brought facilities that were previously only available in major cities to every village. As a result, the number of new digital entrepreneurs in the country is increasing.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister shed some light on the fight against malnutrition. “Millets have many benefits, not just one,” he said. They reduce the risk of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease in addition to obesity. They are also beneficial in preventing stomach and liver problems.

PM Modi also spoke about the country’s 75th anniversary of independence. He stated in his address, “We have witnessed the country’s collective might on this special occasion of Amrit Mahotsav and Independence Day. There has been an epiphany. There were so many differences in such a large country, but when it came to hoisting the tricolour, everyone seemed to be in the same spirit. People came forwards, becoming the vanguard of the tricolour’s pride. The spirit of the country could also be seen in the cleanliness and vaccination campaigns.”

PM Modi spoke with President Putin addressing the need to end the Ukrainian conflict via diplomacy and the energy and food crisis the crisis has caused.

New Delhi, July 1: As the Ukraine conflict continues with no signs of abating, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spoke on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin and reiterated India’s long-standing position in favour of dialogue and diplomacy to end the conflict. The two leaders also discussed the international food and energy situation.

During the phone call, the two leaders reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken during President Putin’s visit to India in December 2021 for the annual bilateral summit.

“In particular, they exchanged ideas on how bilateral trade in agricultural goods, fertilizers and pharma products could be encouraged further,” an official statement said.

“The leaders also discussed global issues, including the state of the international energy and food markets,” the statement said, amid the backdrop of rising international energy and food prices as a fallout of the Ukraine conflict that has crossed four months.

“In the context of the ongoing situation in Ukraine, Prime Minister reiterated India’s long-standing position in favour of dialogue and diplomacy.

“The leaders agreed to maintain regular consultations on global and bilateral issues,” the statement said.

Prime Minister Modi has spoken to President Putin on three earlier occasions after the Ukraine conflict broke out on February 24 this year, and sought Moscow’s help in the evacuation of Indian students from Ukraine, and to urge direct talks between Ukraine and Russia to end the hostilities.

According to a Russian readout of the talks. “As agreed during the BRICS summit on June 23–24. Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on July 1.”

The leaders discussed the bilateral relations, focusing on the further development of mutually beneficial economic ties.

The two noted the “significant increase in the volume of bilateral trade, including mutual deliveries of agricultural products”.

“They expressed mutual intention for the comprehensive strengthening of the special and privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India.”

At the request of Narendra Modi, Vladimir Putin briefed on the key aspects of the Russian special military operation. Emphasizing the dangerous and provocative nature of the line of the Kyiv regime and its Western patrons. Aimed at escalating the crisis and disrupting efforts to resolve it politically and diplomatically, it said.

They also discussed the current state of affairs in the global food market.

“Vladimir Putin drew attention to the systemic mistakes made by a number of states. Which led to the disruption of the entire architecture of the free trade of food products. And provoked a significant increase of their cost.

“Illegitimate sanctions against Russia have exacerbated an already difficult situation. The same factors had a negative impact on the global energy market. At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that Russia has been and remains a reliable producer. And supplier of grain, fertilizers and energy carriers, including to the Indian partners”. It noted

Both leaders agreed to continue personal contacts, as well as interaction at other levels.

The Budget Session of the Parliament has already begun at 11 am, which started with the President’s address, and will be followed by the Finance Minister tabling the Economic Survey 2022.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi enunciated that the session would showcase India’s economic growth to the world. “In today’s global situation, there are a lot of opportunities for India. This session instils confidence in the world regarding the country’s economic progress, vaccination program, and Made in India vaccines,” said PM Modi.

The Prime minister in his speech requested the legislators not to miss the session while campaigning for the elections. “It is true that polls affect sessions and discussions. But I request all MPs that elections will go on but the Budget Session draws a blueprint for the entire year. The more fruitful we make it, the better our economic progress will be.”

Acclaiming India’s battle against the pandemic, President Ram Nath Kovind, while addressing the Budget Session of the Parliament, said “India’s capability to fight COVID-19 was evident in its vaccination program. In less than a year, we made a record of administering over 150 crore doses of vaccine. Today, we’re one of the leading nations in the world when it comes to the number of doses given.”

“I bow down to the freedom fighters who prioritised their duties and helped India get its rights. I also respectfully remember the personalities who contributed to the development of India in the 75 years of Independence,” the president added.

The President lauded the Central government for its welfare schemes, he stated, “To ensure that no one returns home hungry, my govt distributed free rations to the poor every month as part of the PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojana. Today, India is running the world’s largest food distribution program. Also, the Ayushman Bharat card has benefitted the poor. Availability of medicines at low prices at Jan Aushadi Kendra was also a great move.”

Other highlights of President Kovind’s address included some major key points upon the heath and common needs of the public. He stated that the WHO Traditional Centre of Medicine will be set up in the country.

He said, “My govt. follows B.R. He further added that the government has begun an e-shram portal and street vendors have linked with food delivery organizations in the country.

On the emerging digital India movement, he stated that through Digital India and Digital Economy, citizens’ accounts are linked, and the country is getting digitally strong.

This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenth address to the nation since March 2020. The first was on March 19, 2020, in which PM Modi had declared the Janta Curfew amidst rising COVID-19 cases.

While addressing the nation on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the 100 crore vaccine breakthrough displays a new image of India and is an answer to all those challenging the country’s vaccination drive. This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenth address to the nation since March 2020. The first was on March 19, 2020, in which PM Modi had declared the Janta Curfew amidst rising COVID-19 cases.

Calling India’s vaccination drive as a journey from “anxiety to assurance” that has made the country rise mightier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote: “The journey from anxiety to assurance has happened, and our nation has emerged stronger, thanks to the world’s largest vaccination drive. It has been a truly bhagirath effort involving multiple sections of society.”

He added, “The vaccine drive is an example of what India can achieve if the citizens and the government come together with a common goal in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari. When everyone takes ownership, nothing is impossible.”

Even while inaugurating a new building at the Delhi AIIMS campus via video conferencing, the prime minister said that the nation now has a protecting guard of 100 crore vaccination doses against the worst pandemic that the world has seen in over 100 years.

PM Narendra Modi says that the 100 crore vaccine dose accomplishment goes to all 130 crore Indians. PM Modi congratulates all Indians for the vital breakthrough accomplished on Thursday. “This is not just a number, it is a beginning of a new chapter, a new India,” said PM Modi.

There was a lot of tension from different interest groups to give special treatment to them during vaccination drives. But the government assured that, like our other schemes, there is no VIP lifestyle in the vaccination drive.

PM Narendra Modi says some concerns were also raised about the strict COVID-19 restrictions. “Many noted that how can such severe limitations be inflicted in India. But in a democracy, we have considered the needs of all, following our sabka saath, sabka vikaas principle.”

PM Narendra Modi explains how world nations are still fighting vaccine hesitation while related concerns were asked in India. But the 100 crore vaccine dose accomplishment proves how India conquered the vaccine scepticism. With faith in science and innovations, India has managed to accomplish this significant feat.

Last year, many traders had experienced massive failures as sales during Diwali had dropped significantly due to the COVID-19 virus. However, this year, thanks to 100 crore people getting vaccinated, people feel much safer, and our dealers can do business like usual, the Prime Minister said.

PM Narendra Modi says that “we would hear ‘made in this country’, ‘made in that country’, but now all Indians understand the power of ‘Made in India’. I request all Indians to support Indian manufacturers by purchasing ‘Made in India’ products, promoting ‘Vocal for Local’.”

The Prime Minister said specialists in India and abroad are very optimistic about India’s economy. “Today, not only record investment is coming to Indian companies, but new employment opportunities are also being created for the youth,” he added.

PM Narendra Modi requested everyone to wear masks and follow all COVID-19 customs even though the country has vaccinated over 100 crore people. He also advised those who are yet to take the vaccine to get their jabs at the earliest.

Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) shall be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually at 11 am today.

At 11:00 a.m. on Thursday the directors of various Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) shall be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Given the coronavirus disease pandemic, the event shall be taking place virtually and the Dharmendra Pradhan, the newly appointed Union education minister of India shall also have his presence on the occasion, as per a report released by The Indian Express.

To drop former education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal along with 11 others which include Paroshottam Rupala, Kiren Rijiju, Hardeep Singh puri and Anurag Thakur along with G Kishan Reddy, the event comes a day after the Prime Minister expanded his cabinet.

By following the mantras of self-confidence, selflessness and self-awareness, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged the students to recognize their potential and move forward with confidence during his address at the 66th convocation ceremony of IIT Kharagpur in February. Mentioning that the engineers should be equipped with the capability to move things from patterns to patents he termed IIT as an ‘institute of indigenous technology’.

Further, he also mentioned that patience is required in everything that a person wants to do and what he wants to achieve while a technological failure shall always lead to innovation. He also said that there is no scope for hurry in the field of Science and technology and innovation.
