Chinese Tibet Airlines plane skids off runway, injures 40

Beijing, May 12: Over 40 people among 122 aboard the Tibet Airlines plane on Thursday injured after the plane skidded off the runway in China’s Chongqing, media reports said. “The plane, which was carrying out the TV9833 flight. From Chongqing to Nyingchi, has skidded off the runway at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The forward part of the fuselage has caught fire on the left side”. Citing the statement of the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Sputnik reported. “All 113 passengers. And 9 crew members have been safely evacuated. 40 of them have sustained slight injuries and are hospitalised”. The statement read.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Bollywood Actress Shefali Shah posted a throwback picture of herself from an old air-hostess application.

She dropped a photo of her younger self revealing that it was the same picture that she sent when she applied for a job of an air hostess but was rejected. Shefali captioned the image, “The picture I’d submitted for the Cathay pacific application I got rejected #FlashbackFriday.”

Divya Dutta responded to the post, saying, “Alley mere baby!! Our gain!”

Sandhya Mridul recalling her own experience, commented, “Whaaat did not know! I got accepted but didn’t and didn’t take it and well here we are.”

Bidita Bag also commented, “Yasss. Our gain.” Amruta Khanvilkar wrote, “Ohhhh godddd such a cutie.”

Her fans also took to the comment section to shower the actress with love. They seemed thankful for her getting rejected, failing which bollywood would have lost a precious gem.

One of them wrote, “Cathay be more pacific about their requirements? Coz ur looking so cute here…! Lol.” Another one wrote, “That’s great ma’am…..but you r flying high with God grace ..touchwood.” One also commented, “Thank God you got rejected! Look how you’re flying now!”

Passenger escapes from moving plane in Los Angeles; Here’s what happened

A flight passenger had to be detained and admitted to the hospital on Friday night after he unexpectedly jumped out of a moving plane at Los Angeles International Airport, the authorities had said.

Flight operated by SkyWest, united express flight no 5365 to the Salt Lake city which was slowly pulling away from the gate approximately around 7 p.m., when this passenger attempted to exit the plane.

Before exiting he had attempted and tried to breach the cockpit of the plane, after that he managed to open the service door of the aircraft and jumped out through the emergency slide onto the tarmac.

The airport authority immediately took him into their custody on the taxiway after the incident took place. he was treated for the injuries which were not life threatening, but he was shifted to the hospital immediately.

The airport authority mentioned that after the incident took place, the aircraft had to return to its gate, the flight was delayed by more than 3 hours and could not take off. they also added that no other passenger or crew was injured during the incident, said the FFA ( Federal Aviation Administration).

The FBI ( Federal Bureau of investigation) was given the responsibility to handle and investigate this matter. In just 2 days, this was the 2nd similar accident that took place at the Los Angeles International Airport.

The FFA lastly said that earlier this month more that 3000 such cases were reported wherein unruly passengers tried breaking out.

Vistara begins sale on completing six years in India

Air India Crash Update: Air India Boeing-737 Plane crashed after trying to land twice in bad weather

FlightRadar24, a Swedish internet-based commercial flights tracker stated that the Boeing-737 flight from Dubai to Calicut International Airport, which was carrying 190 passengers and crew, including 10 children, tried to land twice from two different directions before the ultimate crash. Out of the 190 individuals on board, 123 are injured and 20 are in critical condition.
The survivors of the crash have lauded the efforts of aircraft captain, Wing Commander Deepak Vasant Sathe, expressing their gratitude and claiming that he ‘saved their life.’ One of the passengers said, “It was raining heavily. The pilot had given a warning before landing saying the weather was really bad. He tried for safe landing twice but lost control. The aircraft shot off the runway and skidded off and it broke into two pieces. It was a miraculous escape for many.”

The Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, visited the crash site to oversee the rescue efforts that are currently underway.
