No increase in the speed of wireless charging; The certification of the Google Pixel 8 reveals details

It is anticipated that Google will release its flagship Pixel smartphone series, which will most likely consist of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices. This certification can be seen in the device’s specifications. Additionally, the certification verifies that the Google Pixel 8 will be capable of wireless charging at a maximum speed of 12W. This also indicates that the Google Pixel 8 will not support the newest wireless charging technology, known as Qi2.

The Qi2 wireless charging standard is an improvement on the Qi standard that was introduced earlier this year. It is based on Apple’s MagSafe technology, which makes use of magnets to enable efficient wireless charging. It has been rumored that in addition to MagSafe charging, the iPhone 15 series would be compatible with Qi2 wireless charging. This will allow users to use more affordable magnetic wireless chargers made by third-party manufacturers.

There has been no official word on whether or not the Google Pixel 8 Pro will be compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging standard, but given that the Pixel 8 will not support the standard, it seems doubtful that the ‘Pro’ edition would either.

It is anticipated that the Pixel 8 will have a display with a resolution of 2268 pixels tall by 1080 pixels wide.
The ‘Zuma’ chipset, which will most likely be the same as the ‘Tensor G3 processor, will provide the power for both the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro smartphones when they launch later this year.

When it comes to the Pixel 8 Pro, it will come with a brand new thermometer that is built in. This thermometer can be used to monitor the temperature of your body. It is equipped with an infrared sensor, which can be found in the rear, close to where the cameras are. This functionality, on the other hand, is said to be exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro and not the standard Pixel 8.
It has been reported that the Samsung 50MP ISOCELL GN2 camera sensor will be used on the Pixel 8 Pro. This sensor will be 1/1.12 inches in size, making it Samsung’s largest camera sensor to yet. If the sensor in the camera is larger, the resulting photographs will have a greater resolution as well as superior pictures.
It is anticipated that the display of the Google Pixel 8 Pro will similarly measure 6.52 inches.

The Pixel 7 has 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second (fps) and it supports 10-bit HDR. On the front is a 10.8MP f/2.2 aperture selfie camera. The Pixel 7’s main camera produces sharp, vibrant, and visually punchy photos with a Super-res 8x zoom / Real Tone / Movie Motion Blur.

Whereas, the Pixel 8 has an improved camera system with advanced features such as better low light performance and improved zoom capabilities. Estimated to have a 50 MP + 8 MP Dual Rear & 10.1 MP Front Camera.

Memory and Performance

The Pixel 7 like most in the 7 series has a Google Tensor G2 Processor and a 12 GB high power RAM to meet all your gaming and multiple window function needs.

The Pixel 8 will most probably have the latest Google Tensor 3, Octa Core Processor for improved performance and power efficiency. With an 8 GB RAM inclusive of an inbuilt 128 GB memory. Clearly, here we can expect the Pixel 8 to takeover all the Pixel Series smartphones for its power and strong core.

Battery life

The Pixel 7 has a 4335 mAh large battery and improved battery life, potentially with support for fast charging and wireless charging.

Pixel 8 is already rumored to have a 4830 mAh Battery with 67W Fast Charging. The Pixel 8 only gets more exciting since the Google Pixel team could add or modify more fun and exclusive features.

5G connectivity

The Pixel 8 is rumored to support 5G, the latest and fastest cellular network technology whereas, some Pixel 7 devices can be updated with regional sim card alterations to adapt to the all-new 5G high speed connectivity.

Pixel 7 or 8?

The Pixel 7 and its 7 series smartphones retail between Rs. 52,000 – 58,000 online on different online shopping platforms. For this price point, the Pixel 7 offers features and specs worth its growing trending hype and is surely set to be the new must have.

However, since the Pixel 8 has just made the news for a possibility of its existence, many prominent experts and tech gurus are expecting it to retail for almost Rs. 50,000 – 55,000. Cheaper than its predecessor, the Pixel 8 can potentially takeover Indian households as the powerful digital experience it could set to offer soon.

Google adds call recording support to Pixel phones

In the year 2020, Google had introduced call recording support to its phone app on Android. However, the service was limited to the United States at launch. The service has begun to appear on the Android phones of Nokia as well as on certain Xiaomi devices.

According to Pixel 4a users in India, Pixel phones have started to get the feature too. Some users had tweeted about the ability to record phone calls on their Pixel.

If you have a Pixel, you can check whether you have received the update by opening Google’s phone app, visiting the Settings option and then search for Call Recording. After enabling the feature, you will be able to view a new option on the dialler UI when you make or receive a phone call. You can also set up the feature to auto-delete saved audios within a specific period of time.

Furthermore, you can ignore the auto-delete options and set them up to require manual deletion, which provides you time for reviewing your recorded conversations. An option to record calls automatically from unknown numbers is also available.

To experience the feature, recording conversations should not be illegal in the country you live in and own a compatible Pixel phone. As of now, only users with Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 4a have reported the availability of this feature.
