Yesterday, the Zee Cine Awards 2024 were held, which were attended in grandeur by celebrities from Bollywood and television. Over the weekend, the Zee Cine Awards 2024 winners were revealed, with Shah Rukh Khan emerging as the biggest winner of the evening. The famous actor took home the Best Actor trophy for his work in Pathaan and Jawan.

YRF Spy Universe has become one of the biggest entertainers in recent times. Since the collaboration between Tiger and Pathaan, fans have been highly anticipating more such action content by the makers. As Pathaan and Tiger had a presence in each other’s films, their fan following skyrocketed. Therefore, a movie dedicated to these two icons is in talks.

Now, it seems like even Alia Bhatt’s upcoming spy movie will have a connection to the Pathaan and Tiger crossover. In 2016, Alia Bhatt and SRK collaborated on their first project together i.e. Dear Zindagi.

However, according to a recent report by Bollywood Life, Alia Bhatt will be seen as a disciple of Pathaan in her upcoming spy movie. Alia’s next spy project also features Shravani Wagh. The makers of the movie are trying to build their connection with Pathaan. Currently, they are discussing several ideas and one of their plot twists will be to portray Alia and Shravani as Pathaan’s proteges.

If everything goes as planned, fans can expect Pathaan’s cameo in Alia and Shravani starrer spy drama.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh. Alia also made her debut in Hollywood with Heart of Stone. The actress was cast alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.

Recently, Alia Bhatt shared a post announcing a wrap-up for Jigra. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film is slated to release on the 27th of September, 2024. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Currently, Alia Bhatt is busy promoting her upcoming web series Poacher. She is the executive producer of the wildlife series. Poacher follows the story of the biggest elephant poaching racket in India.

After a four-year hiatus, Shah Rukh Khan resumed his reign as Bollywood’s undisputed monarch in 2023. SRK exhibited his staying power and had a prosperous 2023 with his flicks ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Dunki’ performing exceptionally well at the box office.

During an interview with CNN journalist Richard Quest for ‘The Making of a Star: A Conversation with Shah Rukh Khan’ at the World Government Summit in Dubai, SRK said that he has a routine on the day before his film’s release.

“In India, films mostly release on Fridays, so on Thursday evenings, at my home in Mumbai, a day before my movie releases, I give myself a two-and-a-half-hour bath and rinse myself of all my work. The bath-salt dips are immensely pleasant for me.” Richard asked SRK to spill out specifications about his bath and whether he surrounds the bath area with candles. To which SRK replied, “You will have to come and take a bath with me. I am not going to reveal anything here (laughs).”

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are vital components of the entertainment industry and have contributed to countless Bollywood blockbusters. The two have a strong friendship and have set goals for their partnership in Tinseltown. Salman and Shah Rukh are close friends and are frequently spotted together. He shared, “I think actually I never took the 4-year long break. Honestly, for 1, 1 and a half year, I thought- Mai Thoda Sa Aap Se Door Ho Gaya. Actor ko apne Kareeb rahna bahut zaroori hai. Films are so big and huge, sometimes you get carried away not in a bad way. I just wanted to be with myself. I thought I’d sit home for 6-8 months, because at that time did’t sign any films too. And again, I don’t file films in a jiffy. I am lazy internally.”

He continued, “I wanted to sit and rest. I think I sat for a year and then pandemic happened, to that break became for 2.5 years to 4 years. But there was no conscious effort or thought process. But yeah, in that time I watched a lot of films- all types and kinds of films. I rarely get the time to do that. Then I thought, there are films which I don’t like but the masses like toh maybe I should pick films of that kind. I am very happy that this year, I’ve been able to entertain so much. To end my entertaining year with Dunki is the biggest high for me. Itna entertain kare ki I again take a break for 2-4 years.”

Dunki is the first collaboration between SRK and Rajkumar Hirani. Bollywood finally get to see these two joining hands. In the film, SRK plays Hardayal “Hardy” Singh Dhillon. The film has been granted the U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and has a run time of 2 hours 41 minutes. It follows the emotional journey of a group of friends who want to move abroad. Dunki is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.

Tiger 3’s Day 2 global collection marks a significant victory, soon to cross Rs 200 crore record

Salman Khan’s upcoming thriller drama Tiger 3 is receiving worldwide acclamation from the fans. On its very first day of release, the film earned a massive profit breaking all records. As per the reports released by Yash Raj Films, Tiger 3 attained an astounding amount of Rs 94 crore on its initial day at theatres globally.

This course even followed the next day as the domestic cinemas in India received a gross profit of Rs 57 crore. The sum amount was calculated to be Rs 102 crore, which successfully crossed the Rs 100 crore benchmark on its initial screening.

Although many of the international theatres are yet to disclose the evident numbers. However, looking at the success trajectory, it seems like Tiger 3 will swiftly cross the Rs 200 crore mark.

But here’s the big news: according to internet rumours, Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter will appear together in a film directed by Sujoy Ghosh. This project is described as an action-packed thriller that will be released in theatres in November of next year.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan hopes to complete his work on the untitled Sujoy Ghosh film by March 2023. Following that, he’ll be in another big action film called “Tiger vs Pathaan” with his friend Salman Khan.

The Sujoy Ghosh film will begin filming in November and will take place in India and other countries over a six-month period. This is yet another ambitious action film from Shah Rukh Khan’s production firm, Red Chillies Entertainment, and it also marks the big screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan.

In addition, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment will produce the film in partnership with Siddharth Anand. Siddharth Anand is well-known for his expertise in the action genre, and he will be in charge of monitoring the action sequences in the script as well as the stunt design.

Mumbai Police will provide Shah Rukh Khan with Y+ security cover after the actor complained about receiving death threats following the success of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’.

King Khan will be followed by six armed security personnel all over the clock under the Y+ security protection. Previously, the popular actor was accompanied by two security guards.

According to officials, the actor recently wrote to the Maharashtra government, telling them that he was receiving death threats following the release of two blockbusters in a row. The Maharashtra government then opted to beef up the security for the well-known actor.

Pathaan’s success story continues to this day. After months of uncertainty, the film was ultimately released in Bangladesh last month, bringing an end to the country’s long exclusion of Indian films from theatres. For decades, Bangladesh had enforced a ban on Indian films, which had resulted in a widespread culture of piracy in order to watch Indian films. Because there was no prior communication about Pathaan’s theatrical premiere in January, most audiences are likely to have watched the film through their customary channels.

Given the circumstances, including the delayed release and the fact that Pathaan was already available on digital platforms, the release was seen as mainly symbolic, with very low hopes for commercial success.

Against all odds, Shah Rukh Khan’s film defied expectations and got off to a strong start at the box office. The film sold almost 15,000 tickets in its first day on just 40 screenings. Over the weekend, ticket sales climbed to 40,000, giving it the highest opening for a foreign picture in the last two years. Notably, Pathaan outperformed Hollywood blockbusters such as Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, and Avatar 2.

Initially, it was thought that the thrill of seeing an Indian picture in theatres after a long period contributed to the film’s strong start, and that the film would have a front-loaded performance. Pathaan, on the other hand, proved to be more than just a buzz and continued to do well for weeks to come. The action-packed comedy Pathaan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the key roles, was released in theatres on January 25. It became one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema history, making more than Rs 1000 crore at the international box office.

The Siddharth Anand-directed film eventually had an OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 22 after nearly two months. Four brand-new sequences that were cut from the theatrical version of Pathaan were included in the OTT version. Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback project Pathaan has dominated the online ticket marketplaces in only the past 24 hours. The action movie’s advance sales began on January 20, and as of today, the Siddharth Anand-directed film has earned over Rs 14 crore.

According to rumours in the industry, Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has surpassed Rs 14.66 crore in advance booking. The Yash Raj Films production’s Hindi and Telugu ticket sales have generated the most money.

On the first day of pre sales at the national chains, Pathaan sold over 2 lakh tickets. The movie Brahmastra, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, broke the previous record for advance bookings by generating pre-release sales of Rs 19.66 crore. Pathaan should easily surpass the Ayan Mukerji-directed film with four more days until its release and by a significant margin.

As per reports, Pathaan’s advance booking has shown a huge response in Kolkata with tickets being sold out in 10 minutes of a 257-seater show. Kolkata has received a tremendous reaction to the Pathaan advance bookings, which have already begun. Within an hour of the bookings starting in Kolkata, more than 50% of the seats were sold.

The actual amount could potentially be far more than the Rs 40 crore plus start that many trade analysts have forecast for Pathaan on day 1. In fact, there is a strong chance that Pathaan will reach a half-century on the first day!

After the enormous positive reaction, the movie received in foreign markets like North America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, the decision was made to commence advance bookings in a few towns and theatres.

A report in Mid-day noted that while South African action artiste Craig MacRae has already kick started his job on this program in Mumbai, the creators are ultimately finalise the remaining stunt co-ordinators.
