U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States will not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon, while also arguing that Tehran cannot export its oil because of the blockade and is therefore seeking a deal. The remarks add fresh pressure to already tense negotiations over Iran’s nuclear and energy-related options.

Trump also warned that Iran’s oil storage facilities and pipelines are under severe strain. He said the country’s energy infrastructure could “explode from within” if exports remain blocked, describing the pressure on the system as building both mechanically and underground.

The comments come as the Strait of Hormuz remains central to the broader confrontation. Recent reporting said Iran had floated a proposal to reopen the strait in exchange for relief, but Trump and his team have kept the nuclear issue at the center of any possible agreement.
