Rail Vikas Nigam secures Rs 129 crore contract from North Eastern Railway

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a significant contract from North Eastern Railway, valued at ₹129,46,26,109.47. The contract involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction sub-stations with associated switching posts for a 2×25 KV AT traction feeding system in the Varanasi-Prayagraj section of the Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway. This project is part of the capacity upgradation work of electric traction power supply installations on an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) mode.

The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, is expected to be executed within a period of 730 days. The tender number for this project is EPC-PSI-BSB-PRYJ_NER. The terms and conditions of the contract are governed by the General Contract Conditions.

RVNL, a government of India enterprise, continues to strengthen its portfolio in the infrastructure sector with this new contract. The company has confirmed that neither the promoter group nor any group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the contract. Additionally, the contract does not fall within related party transactions.
