The principal actors in their upcoming film Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, will be appearing on the tenth episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. A sneak peek of their hilarious episode has been posted on social media by the show’s creators. Rajkummar discussed his early days in the business on the broadcast, revealing that he was duped by a person who gave him a movie.

When Kapil questioned him about the event during the show, the actor revealed that the individual had taken Rs 10,000 from him and promised to make him an actor by offering him a role in a movie.

Narrating the incident, Rajkummar said that he had seen an advertisement in the newspaper which mentioned the requirement of an actor. He said that back then, he didn’t know the difference between TV and films. “I called them and (this person) asked me to meet him. I cycled all the way to South Ext in Delhi. They had a typical office. The man had a photo with everyone from Gulshan Grover to Raza Murad. I thought he knew everyone. He said it would cost me 10,000 rupees for a photo shoot,” he said.

He further expressed how he was scammed, and the place he went for the photoshoot was empty within three days. Rajkummar added, “My mother borrowed money and gave me Rs 10,000. The person got my photoshoot done at Kalindi Kunj Park. Then I got a call that I had been selected. I was on my knees thinking I made it in life. I was all set. After three days, when I went to meet him, that place was empty. The office was locked and no one was there. I asked people around me about it. They told me they had run away.”

The engaging pair of Janhvi and Rajkummar will make the audience laugh out loud with their lively banter and amusing anecdotes.

The story of Mahendra, a failed cricket player, and Mahima, a doctor, who are brought together by the virtue of an arranged marriage, is told in the Rajkummar and Janhvi film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is about to film Mr & Mrs Mahi with RajKummar Rao, recently spoke about shooting personal moments with the actor. Janhvi and RajKummar, who previously appeared together in Roohi, will play husband and wife in the Sharan Sharma-directed film.

In a recent Ask Me Anything session given by the makers of Mr & Mrs Mahi for Janhvi, the actor heaped accolades on her character. She also said that they were both weary before filming their romantic kissing moment.

Janhvi responded to a fan by saying they were ‘dying inside’ after a 20-hour shift, which was when we were meant to shoot the intimate session.

“Most of mine and Raj’s romantic moments in the movie, we were completely exhausted. Like I think one of our first romantic moments was after a 20-hour shift, and both of us were feeling like we were dead. We had bad tummies, our bodies were broken, and then we had to look like we were falling in love and we were going to have our first kiss, but really, we were feeling like we were dying inside,” the actress said.

Janhvi had stated during a promotional event for the upcoming film that “During Roohi, we wanted to do more comedy, romantic and dramatic scenes with each other. We’ve got a chance to do all those things in this film. I’ve always been a fan of RajKummar and honestly, he has made my work easier. Just like our characters, Mahima and Mahendra, supported each other in the film, Rajkummar helped me exactly like that when we were shooting. He gave me strength and I believe I’ve become a better artist because of him.”

In Mr & Mrs Mahi Janhvi and RajKummar will portray cricketers, and the film will concentrate around their imperfectly perfect partnership. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will be released in theatres on May 31.

Bollywood Gen Z actors Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina are said to be dating. They made their acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, and since then, speculations have circulated about their apparent affair.

The two have been the topic of B-Town, and they have made headlines yet again by appearing together at the screening of Janhvi Kapoor and RajKummar Rao’s Mr & Mrs Mahi.

She commented, ‘I think it would be very interesting to watch a debate between Ambedkar and Gandhi,’ adding that knowing how their beliefs changed over time and affected each other would make for an intriguing discussion.

Kapoor pointed out that Ambedkar’s stance was firm from the start, whereas Gandhi’s opinions changed as he experienced more cases of caste prejudice. She emphasised that firsthand experience with discrimination differs from third-person observation.

Kapoor also discussed her tough preparation for ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi.’ During the advertising for her previous film, ‘Mili,’ she stated that she needed to reduce weight and train rigorously in cricket to play her role realistically.

Her coach, Abhishek Nayar, compared her training regimen to that of IPL players, emphasising the intensity. Kapoor practiced on a regular basis at a Bandra pitch, sometimes joining KKR players for training.

The filmmakers released a behind-the-scenes video that shows Kapoor’s transition into a cricketer.

Director Sharan Sharma stated that Kapoor initially expected her training to be similar to her preparation for ‘Gunjan,’ but soon realised it was far more hard.

The exercise was so severe that Kapoor ruptured ligaments in both shoulders. They also revealed she has multidirectional instability (MDI), which is advantageous for dancers but difficult for cricketers.

Despite these challenges, Kapoor completed her training, despite the fact that she considers herself unathletic and had little prior understanding of the sport.

The film “Mr & Mrs Mahi” will be released on May 31.
