Malvi Malhotra reveals Kangana Ranaut didn’t come forward to help as she promised after her brutal stabbing

In 2020 October, Actress Malvi Malhotra was stabbed thrice by an alleged producer from Mumbai after she refused his marriage proposal. At the time, Kangana Ranaut came in the support of Malhotra and said that the incident reflects the truth of the film industry and this is what happens to small town strugglers without proper contacts.

Now, in an interview to a news portal, Malvi Malhotra revealed that Kangana Ranaut promised her to support after that brutal stabbing, but she never came forward. Malhotra said, “I had a lot of faith in Kangana and I believed that she will come forward to help me and fight against this issue. So, I requested one of the doctors taking care of me to record a video and put it in the public domain. The same day Kangana tweeted about it. She was targeting the industry and nepotism but she tweeted that she will come and help me and fight for me in this case. But after this, when I got discharged, I was waiting for her to come forward and help, but nothing happened. Not only her, but no one from her team also contacted me. I was surprised.”

Malvi further revealed that it was actor-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar who helped her from the beginning of the incident. Malvi later also got to know that the senior actress had called someone in the police and asked them to take care of her case.

Malvi says about Urmila, “At the same time, Urmila ji helped me a lot. I was not expecting this from her. But she was helping me from the very start of this incident. I got to know later on that she also called someone in the police and asked them to take care of this case. She realised that it is her moral responsibility to help me as a woman. I saw that pain in her eyes for me. She also told me that they are making some laws in Maharashtra so that women feel protected here. She assured me that if I face any problems in my fight for justice, I can approach her and she will help me.”

Malvi Malhotra, the Udaan serial actress, was rushed to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday after her being brutally stabbed. Recently, she opened up about her encounters with Yogesh and the stabbing during an interview with ETimes.

When asked about the stabbing, Malvi spoke about the incident with the stabber, Yogesh Mahipal Singh, who is now under hospitalization. On her way home from a coffee shop at Andheri, Yogesh pulled over and forced the to get in the car. After Malvi refused, he stabbed her on her stomach, right wrist, and left finger. She said that he was aiming for her face but failed to reach as she protected it. Malvi was quoted as saying, “I told him to stop the tamasha. Instead, he got down from the car and stabbed me in my stomach. Next, he wanted to injure my face. I kept my hand on the face to avoid any injuries but his knife went deep into my right hand and wounded it badly. The fingers region in my left hand also got inflicted with bruises. I went down on the ground as I had started to bleed profusely.”

Malvi stated that she came across Yogesh a few times early this year for work. She started avoiding him after a meeting in Ooty during a shoot for a Tamil film. “At this third meeting, he told me that he loves me and wants to marry me. I politely told him that is not possible but we can still remain friends. After that, I refrained from meeting him,” she said. He still continued showing up at her door unannounced, sending in bouquets and cards. But, she was adamant with her refusal.

When asked about how she felt right now, Malvi informed that it could take her up to 3 months to heal. “I think it will take 2-3 months before I am alright. Right now, the fingers of my left hand are not moving. The knife incision in my stomach was about 1.5 inches,” she concluded.

On Monday, Malvi Malhotra met with an unfortunate stabbing on her way home. The man accused of stabbing her was apparently a film producer, Yogeshkumar Singh, and a Facebook friend of hers for over a year now. Recently, Times of India reported that the stabber met with an accident and is now hospitalized. The Mumbai police have stated that the producer will be arrested as soon as he gets discharged.

On the same night that the actress had been brutally stabbed thrice, the alleged producer had been in a car, attempting an escape from Mumbai. On his way out, he met with an untimely accident at the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. According to the Times report, the attacker has severe facial injuries and is being treated at a hospital in Vasai, Palghar.

The police shared details about the arrest of the producer, Yogeshkumar Singh. “A team is keeping a watch on Singh. He will be arrested once he gets discharged. We then learned that Singh lost control of his car and it turned turtle on the highway,” a Mumbai Police spokesman said. As per reports, Yogeshkumar had been stalking the Udaan actress for over a year. When he stopped her on her way home, he attempted forcing her into his car and stabbed her after getting annoyed with her refusal.

In an unexpected turn of events, the television actress, Malvi Malhotra, known for her role in the serial Udaan, had been stabbed three times with a knife by an alleged Facebook friend in Mumbai. According to a Pinkvilla report, she was stabbed at the Fisheries University Road, Versova. Now, she is under treatment at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. More details about her hospitalization are yet to be known. We hope for her speedy recovery.

India Times reported that Malvi had been friends with the alleged stabber for over a year now. Apparently, the Facebook friend, who is said to be a producer, tried to force Malvi into a marriage. She, however, refused the proposal, filed a complaint against the accused, and blocked all modes of communication.

After she returned from a shoot in Dubai, she rested for a while in her local cafe. On her way back home, she happened to come across the same person. Refusing to engage in conversation, she walked ahead and was stopped when he grabbed her wrist. He then stabbed her on her stomach, right wrist, and the finger on her left hand.

An FIR has been filed regarding the incident. Here’s a Mumbai Police spokesperson on the same: “We have filed an FIR under section 307 and section 354. Further investigation is going on and we will soon arrest the accused.”
