Oswal Pumps has announced the receipt of a Letter of Empanelment (LOE) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the supply and installation of 6,869 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). The project is set to be executed within a year under the PM Kusum B Scheme, specifically the “Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump” Yojna.

This development marks a significant step for Oswal Pumps as it expands its footprint in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar-powered agricultural solutions. The PM Kusum B Scheme aims to provide farmers with solar-powered pumps to reduce their dependence on grid electricity and diesel, thereby promoting sustainable irrigation practices.

Adani Power Limited has secured a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the supply of 1,600 MW of thermal power under a long-term agreement.

The agreement, which emerged from a competitive bidding process, will see Adani Power supplying electricity at a tariff of ₹5.30 per kWh. The 25-year Power Supply Agreement is set to commence in the financial year 2030-31. This achievement is part of Adani Power’s broader strategy to support India’s thermal power capacity expansion, with the company having secured five long-term agreements totalling 10,400 MW in FY25-26.

Adani Power’s CEO, S.B. Khyalia, highlighted the importance of the agreement in meeting India’s rising power demands, emphasising the company’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable electricity. The company is also undertaking significant capacity expansion, aiming to increase its thermal power capacity from 18.15 GW to 41.87 GW by FY31-32, with investments of approximately ₹2 lakh crore.
