Priyanka Chopra arrives in Odisha for SSMB 29 shoot, poses with airline crew

Priyanka Chopra was recently spotted at Odisha airport, where she was seen posing with the airline crew upon her arrival. The actress, who has been making headlines for her association with SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film SSMB 29, opted for a casual yet stylish look. She wore grey denim jeans paired with a black tank top and a leather jacket, completing her outfit with a black cap and boots.

Before heading to Odisha, Priyanka was in Hyderabad for the film’s initial shooting schedule but took a brief break to travel to Mumbai for her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding festivities. On February 19, she was seen returning home with her daughter, Malti Marie.

Reports indicate that SS Rajamouli and his team have moved to Odisha for the next leg of SSMB 29’s shoot. A few days ago, leaked images from the set surfaced on social media, hinting at a grand production. The ongoing schedule is expected to feature Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Priyanka Chopra.

About SSMB 29

The film commenced shooting in January this year with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. However, the makers have kept Mahesh Babu’s look strictly under wraps. Touted as an adventure thriller, the film is drawing comparisons to Indiana Jones and is expected to be a massive cinematic experience, reportedly being made on a staggering budget of ₹1000 crore.

While the full cast and title remain undisclosed, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, subtly confirmed her involvement in the film. In an interview with Lehren Retro, she stated, “Vahin shooting pe hain voh” (She is shooting the film), further fueling excitement among fans eagerly awaiting Priyanka’s grand return to Indian cinema.

Priyanka Chopra’s mother Dr. Madhu Chopra celebrated 14 years of her cosmetic clinic on Saturday 26th February at an event in Mumbai. While talking to the media she was asked how she feels now that she has become a grandmother, to this Madhu replied, “Nani bane toh bahut bahut Khushi hui mujhe,” she said at the event. She further said that she was grinning ear-to-ear about it. “I am only smiling all the time. I’m very happy,” she added.

The media then asked the doctor whether the couple have decided what to call the kid as the gender of the baby is not yet revealed by the popular couple. To this she replied by saying, “Abhi Nahi Rakha hai. Jab pandit Naam nikaalege tab Hoga. Abhi Nahi (We haven’t finalized it yet. When the priest gives us the name, then it will happen. Not now),” she said.

As Priyanka and Nick had their baby via surrogacy the couple posted the happy news on their Instagram handles and wrote, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” they wrote.

I was lying on my tummy and snacking on some chips, and Dad asked me to pass them. ‘No,’ I responded, without taking my eyes off the screen. Dad asked again, and I said, ‘No,’ this time more firmly. And then, as if ‘no’ wasn’t bad enough, I added: ‘Can’t you see that I’m busy!’ Which was a variation of what Mom used to say: Give me time. Can’t you see that I’m busy? I’ll get back to you. Mom looked at my father, then at me, and then at my father again. ‘Mimi needs to learn discipline,’ she said.”

The actor said that her mom “panicked, wondering where this disrespectful, spoiled child had come from” when she saw Priyanka talking back to her father, echoing her very own words. ”

The actor said, “Dad wasn’t concerned, but for Mom, it must have been the last straw after many months of enduring my tantrums and attention-seeking behavior.”

Priyanka’s father Dr. Ashok Chopra died of cancer in 2013. He was 62. Both her parents served in the army as doctors.

After an entertainment site compared clothings worn by actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra reacted to the article in a recent tweet and called out the comparison.

“Only a blind will think they are wearing same outfit. Besides Pri always carries Haute couture better,” read Madhu Chopra’s tweet. The said article featured images of Deepika and Priyanka dressed in a black dress.

While both the artists are yet to react to Madhu’s tweet, fans quickly filled the comments section with their take on the subject. One agreed with Madhu Chopra and tweeted, “Very true,” while a user mentioned, “If it matches anyway then what’s the big deal?”

She added, “I truly believe that my mom manifested him because that was her marriage, she had a marriage of partnership, they worked together, they lived together, they built (their) home together, they built their life together in equal partnership and I saw that while growing up. And, I am just amazed that I found exactly what I kind of grew up with, with Nick, I just kind of swept, I’d let it happen.”
