Seems like they will have to bid farewell to this season, as its last episode will be released on Thursday. The teaser video for the same has been unveiled by Karan Johar and it is hilarious.

The upcoming episode will feature comic stars and content creators Kusha Kapila, Sumukhi Suresh, Tanmay Bhat and Danish Sait. Other than that, Orry will also be making his special appearance on the show. The teaser video showcases the content creators roasting Karan for the ‘wholesome season’ that it has been.

The fight between Patriarchy and matriarchy has caught some serious fire in the past few years and the flames continue to burn righter with each passing day! Bollywood has really taken to the trend and is churning out films left right and centre that focusses on the standards of right and wrong set by the pre-dominant patriarchal archetype.

Be it the pleasure seeking woman or the hypocritical stands of the society on various issues that are considered taboo in the open but not behind closed doors. Things that are looked down upon in the broad daylight are readily accepted and practised in the secrecy of the four walls and what’s worse – sometimes, they are videod and are circulated on the internet for voyeristic raptures. But in the end only one party is questioned and that happens to be the womenfolk, who are slut shamed and are pointed fingers at for being dirtier. What is conviniently forgotten is that Taali dono haatho se bajti hai…

Thank You for coming focusses on a lot of these issues and questions the very fabric of the society for being the way it is. And the best part is sometimes women who are strong, often see their own strength dissipate into this maze of patriarchy and they end up becomnig what they loathed all their lives.
The film is directed by Karan Boolani and has been writen by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh and all the three have done a swell job.

The film tells the story of Kanika who has been bullied throughout her school life for being “Thanda”, and who has been brought up by a single mother who has had quite a tussle with the society herself. Kanika has a different way of looking at things due to her upringing and still somehow considers herself to be a misfit because of all she endures throughout. And her only support are her two girlfriends, the Bengali Tina Das played by Shibani Bedi and the Punjabi girl Pallavi Khanna played by Dolly Singh. The way the lives of three girlfriends Kanika, Tina and Pallavi are entwined with a strong bond of friendship and love for each other, the way they stick around for each other suddenly changes in the end when Kanika wrongly feels, she had spent a night of absolute female bliss with her best friend’s husband. Suddenly the bonds of freindship seem too brittle and Kanika’s integrity and her very being is questioned by them. And finally what emerges is Kanika’s huge ballistic almost hysterical speech on the same school stage she was humiliated in front of the same guys who humiliated her! Tit for tat anyone?

Bhumi Pednekar’s restrained performance is good and works just the way it is meant to for the film. She is sharp, she is sassy and laidack where it is required. She hasn’t overdone one bit. Once again after Kiara Advani’s masturbation scene from Lust Stories we have Bhumi squirming on her ruffled bed sheets pleasuring herself to psychedellic music and the dizzying camera moves. This scene surely once again will be a highlight of the film. Shibani Bedi, Kusha Kapila and Dolly Singh have also played their parts nicely but they have to master the craft of acting big time.

The screenplay in the first half is quite mellowed and it is only during the second half that the film starts to bloom like the ladies in it. Anil Mehta’s cinematography is good, nothing special because the film doesn’t call for the showcasing of any badass camera skills. The music was minimal which was again a good thing. The edit was crisp and all in all it is a good film that calls mainly for the upmarket multiplex audiences.

In an exclusive interview with News18, Kusha discussed her perspective on the public perception of her life and how she chooses to handle it as she prepares for the release of Sukhee opposite Shilpa Shetty Kundra.

“Making sure that people always say nice things about you means you want to be in control of your narrative and how people feel about you all the time. And that’s impossible because that’s not how life is. As much as you want to be in control of your narrative, it can’t happen, especially if you’re in the public eye,” she stated.

She went on to say “There’s no point bearing the emotional burden and labour of what people think of you or their expectation from you. I don’t want to be that person who at the age of 50 feels like she didn’t live her life, do what she wanted to do and give it her all. That’s not how I want to live.”

Being a “people pleasure,” as Kusha admits she is, frequently has an impact on her. She notes that she strives to be in a Zen state where she is unaffected by anything that people say about her.

She stated, “As a Virgo who’s a compulsive people pleaser and micromanages everything in her life, I feel like I should let go at some point to be able to be happy and present in the moment. I really struggle with being present in the moment because I’m constantly thinking of 5000 different things.”

On the work front, Kusha Kapila will be next seen in Thank You For Coming alongside, Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill.

After a one-year absence from the big screen, Shilpa Shetty will return with Sukhee. The Sukhee movie’s posters and trailer were both unveiled by the film’s producers on Wednesday. The movie was billed as “a story for every woman” by Shilpa. Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Chaudhary, Kiran Kumar, and Kusha Kapila all play significant parts in the film.

The teaser gives viewers a look into the lives of Sukhee, a devoted housewife (Shilpa Shetty), whose priorities are her husband, daughter, and father-in-law. Her dull lifestyle, however, is abruptly changed when she gets an invitation to her high school reunion. Sukhee takes advantage of the chance to mention how much she wants to go to Delhi and see her friend, Kusha Kapila, again. What happens if you gain notoriety and credibility as a social media influencer? Despite the fact that one could feel on top of the world, this career is not without its drawbacks. The Social Currency, a new Netflix original series, centres around this idea.

The official trailer for the movie was unveiled by Netflix today. Eight social media influencers—Parth Samthaan, Bhavin Bhanushali, Ruhi Singh, Vagmita Singh, Rowhi Rai, Mridul Madhok, Sakshi Chopra, and Aakash Mehta—fight for their lives in a war unlike any other in the Union Territory of Goa.

These influencers will compete on Social Currency to win their rightful place as the “Top Influencer” and a staggering 50 lakh cash award, with a mission to earn their position and the crucial money they need to survive! This pioneering influencer survival challenge, created by SOL Production Private Ltd, will debut on Netflix on June 22.

Popular rapper Badshah, actress Sunny Leone, and social media star Kusha Kapila all make brief cameos in the trailer.

Sunny Leone, who came with a unique challenge for the influencers on Social Currency, said in a press statement: “There is just one piece of advice that I have for all the influencers participating in Social Currency and that is – be you and love yourself. Content creator Kusha Kapila recently attended the 76th ceremony of the Cannes International Film Festival. She walked the red carpet in a seemingly atrocious dress and undoubtedly made heads turn. Recently, she posted a reel on her Instagram account with Varun Dhawan as a response to the fans calling her Natasha Dalal’s doppelganger.

The reel starts with Kusha shooting herself and Varun colliding with her and of a sudden, a bunch of comments are showcased that state fans’ assumptions and then Kusha and Varun recall if they both have seen each other before and deny the condition of thought and part ways. She captioned the reel as, “Aapko pehle kahi dekhaa…never mind/ Y’all are responsible for this video because y’all keep pointing it out. Thanks @varundvn for making this video and Natasha Dalal, must continue to look for more doppelgangers 🤣.”

The comments in the video were shown as “Kusha is Natasha’s first copy,” while another read as “Kusha and Natasha look the same.” The video even depicted a collaged image of both celebrities in cream dresses. Natasha reacted to the video by writing, “😂😂love it @kushakapila @varundvn.”
