The iconic comedy caper, Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, is all set to return to the big screen in April 2025, 31 years after its original release in 1994. The news was shared by trade expert Taran Adarsh on X, formerly known as Twitter, sending fans into a frenzy.

The re-release of Andaz Apna Apna is a testament to the film’s enduring popularity and its status as a cult classic. Despite tanking at the box office upon its initial release, the film has grown in stature over the years, with its witty dialogues, memorable characters, and unforgettable camaraderie between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. The film’s restoration and remastering in 4K and Dolby 5.1 Sound will ensure that a new generation of viewers gets to experience the magic of Andaz Apna Apna on the big screen.

Murder Mubarak is Netflix’s forthcoming contribution to the whodunit murder mystery genre. Homi Adajania of Cocktail fame directs the film, which is based on Anuja Chauhan’s 2021 novel ‘Club You to Death’. Murder Mubarak is designed to bring you to a fancy, private recreational club in Delhi, where a murder occurs.

Murder Mubarak, set to be released on March 15, 2024, stars a brilliant and diverse ensemble including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Verma, Dimple Kapadia, Karishma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, and Suhail Nayyar. Netflix and Maddock Films released the character posters for the film today, and they are all equally captivating, dramatic, and eccentric.

The remaining four-character posters were shared in a separate thread. Dimple Kapadia is an eccentric, inebriated artist who makes a drink in her poster.

The ruby-red drips emphasise the film’s horrific dilemma. Sanjay Kapoor plays a royal mess who, while blue-blooded, is not as intelligent as he seems to be. In his poster, he is shown wielding a golden gun and cackling a little madly.

Tisca Chopra portrays a cruel teenager in Murder Mubarak. As the gossip queen, her character poster depicts a glamorously dressed Chopra running to save her purse from falling over and spilling makeup products on the floor, reminiscent of her everyday practice of sharing secrets and rumours. Suhail Nayyar plays a debauched party animal in the film and is shown carrying a bleeding lighter with a worried expression.

The film’s premise is entertaining and refreshing, with seven “off-the-wall” murder suspects, each more bizarre and intriguing than the next. Murder Mubarak examines the developing intricacies of a murder investigation in the capital’s top leisure club, where obscure clues and various lies conceal the truth.

As a result, all seven are suspects, and their eccentricities give a deliciously crazy twist to the funny and deceptive murder mystery.

The makers of Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, and Karisma Kapoor’s Murder Mubarak released the first look video and announced the film’s release date on Monday. The film promises to add a new twist to the mystery genre by combining suspense, comedy, and romance.

The film, directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, is an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s Club You to Death from the novel to the screen. It is planned to be released on Netflix on March 15.

The intriguing video, posted by the creators, begins with Pankaj Tripathi, who will appear as a non-traditional cop, introducing the other characters and hinting at their mysteries. While Sara is introduced as the ‘Princess of South Delhi’, Vijay is the ‘Deadly Lover from Chandni Chowk’.

It is quite interesting to note that Shahid performed as a background dancer for the films Taal (1999) and Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), while he was a student there. That being said, Karisma was a more accomplished actor than Kajol. When it came to working, she was utterly concentrated. “Let people take digs at me; let them taunt me. It’s only going to make me work harder now. I’m going to fight them all tooth and nail. I’ve silenced them before and I can do it again if the time comes. I only need the blessings of all my well-wishers.” she said as she wrapped up the conversation, proving the same.

Both of them are happy in their independent lives today, having each had two children with their different partners. Karisma’s children are Samaira and Kiaan, whilst Ajay and Kajol’s children are named Nysa and Yug.

There once was an era when Bollywood diva Karisma Kapoor stood at the top of her career in the Bollywood industry. She consistently showed her talents by starring in memorable and commercially successful films like Coolie No. 1, Dil To Pagal Hai, Raja Hindustani, Biwi No. 1, and Hero No. 1.

However, when she married Indian businessman Sunjay Kapur at the peak of her career, the actress chose to take a break from working. But the celebrity’s life did not turn out as expected. Shortly after getting married, she started having issues with Sunjay, and some of the details are quite concerning.

In 2003, Karishma Kapoor tied the knot with businessman Sunjay Kapur after her breakup with Abhishek Bachchan. Karishma was the second wife of Sunjay. Karishma’s marriage, although being a love marriage, has been filled with issues ever since it started. Karishma faced severe domestic abuse at the hands of both Sunjay and his mother. However, instead of purchasing new clothing, she was physically mistreated by her mother-in-law and Sunjay. Shockingly, Sunjay slapped her too.

Sources claim that in 2012, Karishma decided to leave Sunjay and her kids behind to put an end to her agony. She eventually filed for divorce from him following a catastrophic 13-year marriage.

Karishma Kapoor has two children with her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur: Samiera Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Regarding their two kids, Kiaan and Samaira, the couple fought in a prolonged and bitter custody dispute in family court.

As their divorce proceedings became more heated by the day, Karishma was eventually granted custody. Raveena Tandon reveals if Karisma Kapoor and she are friends

In the past, Raveena Tandon has claimed that Karisma Kapoor is to blame for her exclusion from movies. Even now, the rumoured conflict between the two actors—who appeared together in movies like Andaz Apna Apna (1994)—remains a topic of discussion. When asked about their present relationship in a recent interview, Raveena said succinctly that they simply connected socially.

In earlier interviews, Raveena declined to identify the actor but seemed to criticise Karisma for using her position to get Raveena “kicked out of four projects.”

In a recent interview, Raveena was asked to name the 90s actors with whom she remained friends. She adopted the names of Manisha Koirala, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Shilpa Shetty, Sridevi, Juhi Chawla, and Neelam.

Speaking about her bond with them, Raveena Tandon said in an interview to ANI, “Whenever we all meet, we meet so warmly and there are times we party together, even in those days we used to… I used to go pick up Urmila and we used to go for the Holi parties together.” When Raveena was asked if Karisma was one of her friends from the film industry, the actor said, “We do meet socially, but I think she has her set circle (of friends).”

Actor Ajay Devgn and Raveena were purportedly dating in the 1990s, but their relationship ended and Ajay supposedly started seeing Karisma Kapoor. Raveena had stated in a 1997 interview with Rediff, “I won’t mention the heroine, but she pulled me from four movies because she was insecure. In fact, I was supposed to work on one of the movies alongside her. Evidently, she was closer to the director and the protagonist. These events certainly take place, but I don’t enjoy playing games of this nature.”

When the interviewer said that her ‘catfight’ with Karisma was common knowledge, and she had even refused to pose with Raveena at a party, the actor had responded, “It doesn’t make me a superstar if I pose with a Karisma Kapoor today. She doesn’t feature in my life in any which way. I’m a professional, I don’t care. I would pose with a broomstick if need be… Karisma and I are not the best of friends. Ditto with Ajay… Professionally I’m ready to work with Ajay or Karisma. Where work is concerned, I don’t bother about these stupid ego problems.”

The role came to me…it was a dance film and that too to work with opposite Madhuri Dixit they said ‘No how can we dance alongside Madhuri Dixit ji!’ Initially, I too said no to it as it was a dance film and competition dance with Madhuri Dixit. The actor said, “We were shooting for a movie in Chennai, and I saw a man wearing a dhoti sitting at a distance. A lot of people flocked around, so I thought that he must be a senior artist from the South, who I may not know. Later, Anna (Suniel) asked me to meet the man. We clicked photos together and were talking for almost 20 minutes. Later, before the shot, the same man was dabbing my face with a puff, and I was shocked. I immediately went to Suniel enquiring about him, and to my shock, he revealed that it was a prank! The person was actually his own make-up artist. It was a hilarious moment and we all started laughing.”

Bollywood Actor Randhir Kapoor, who moved into his new house in Bandra revealed that he had begun to feel lonely in the big Chembur House. He also said in a new interview that he finds his new house, spread across 3,000 square feet, and felt “relatively cozy”.

Speaking to a leading daily about his new home, he said, “I am feeling better here (the new house). I had started feeling more lonely, of late. Here, my family can drop in frequently like they did a few hours back; there was a puja today. They will continue to do so in the future. Even my friends are close by in Khar and Bandra.”

30 years ago, another member of Bollywood’s Kapoor family, stepped into the industry and flourished glamorously as the rest.

Bollywood notable star Karisma Kapoor celebrated her 47th birthday on Friday, June 25. She was among the most prominent stars of 90s Bollywood and has acted with actors such as Govinda, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Speaking to Entertainment news portal Karisma busted the myths about Kapoor ladies not allowed to work, she cleared the air by stating that she wished to work and the whole Kapoor family supported her.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Karisma had told , “It was a myth that Kapoor ladies were not allowed to work. My mom and Neetu aunty they wanted to settle down toh (so) they stopped working. But then Geeta Bali ji, Jennifer ji they worked in films right up to 36 Chowringhee Lane. So they did work. I think it was only then there was a long gap because my father’s sisters they were not interested in films. Toh yeh myth bangaya tha (so it became a myth) – you know Kapoor girls ladies don’t work in movies. Then, yes, finally it was me and I was a female and then I kind of decided that I did want to work. And I think the family supported me, they did.”

She had also spoken about working in a difficult situation in the 1990s. “We used to work in harsh lights and reflectors. We could barely open our eyes. We had to look down and then look (up) for the shot. So, yes, we worked in a lot of harsh times… We didn’t even have makeup van to change our clothes. We would go behind the bushes… ya kisika ghar hota tha (someone’s house) we used to knock the door and say ‘hum jasakte hai please thoda sa hum shoot karahe hai yaha (can you allow us please we are shooting here)’. There were times where we would shoot in Coolie No 1 and all those earlier films in Hyderabad in 50 degrees, 48 degrees… I would be bare foot and we would be shooting songs ghagra choli, khulle baal (loose hair), garmi (heat), feet with blisters. I think that is the passion with which we worked,” Karisma recalled.

On the birthday of the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actress Karisma Kapoor shared a throwback picture. She took to her Instagram social media handle to share an old black and white picture. The photo showed Karisma standing between Salman Khan and Sachin Tendulkar.

The picture was during the muhurat of her movie ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. “Such wonderful memories from the muhurat of Andaz Apna Apna. Time really files (emojis) Happy Birthday @sachintendulkar (emojis) #throwback #preciousmoments,” she captioned the picture.

‘Andaz Apna Apna’ was a huge hit among the audience when it released. The movie featured Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Amir Khan and Raveena Tandon in lead roles. It is still looked upon as a cult film.

After being bashed from all corners, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan-starring film ‘Coolie No 1’ has become one of the lowest ranking films on IMDb(1.4). The film has even managed to beat ‘Race 3’ and gained a lower rank at the movie rating platform.

All Govinda fans are upset with Varun Dhawan for touching an iconic piece by the legendary actor. The movie, which also features Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever in pivotal roles, is once again directed by David Dhawan, who originally helmed the 1995 film starring Govinda as the male lead and Karisma Kapoor as the female lead.

While Varun and Sara’s film has received a low rating and opened to meme reactions by Twitterati, Race 3 starring Salman in the lead also faced a similar fate at the hands of the fans as it was an experimental film. Coolie No. 1 star Sara also had spoken in an interview and had tried to defend the problematic plot of the original film. She had said that if the audience begins to view everything from the correct lens, then the scope of humour gets lost.

She had said, “I’d urge people to watch the film with the honest intention with which it is told. There is a difference between what you say on Twitter, and what an entertaining comedy tries to say. Of course, you can’t be demeaning. Govinda sir duping Karisma to make her believe that he is not a coolie, is funny.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan celebrated her 40th birthday with her family members around midnight. The celebrations have begun since last night as Kareena Kapoor Khan’s parents, Babita and Randhir Kapoor, as well as Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor, were spotted arriving at her residence.

Karisma Kapoor shared photos of the Kareena’s “Fabulous at 40” birthday bash over her Instagram handle, in which she can also be seen posing with the cake. The birthday cake was two-tiered and had ‘Fabulous at 40’ written over it. Just like a cherry on the top, there was a mini Kareena on top of the delicious looking cake.

Taimur, son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was not seen in the pictures. The pictures had Kareena posing with her parents and Karisma, and in another, she was with Saif Ali Khan, Shashi Kapoor’s son, Kunal and others.
