Shree Cement has encountered a setback as the Commissioner (Appeals), CE & CGST, Jodhpur, dismissed the company’s appeal against a demand order from the Assistant Commissioner, Pali Division, Rajasthan. The dismissal was based on technical reasons, leading to the reinstatement of a penalty amounting to ₹3,59,831.

The order, received on 29th April 2026, pertains to the wrong availment of Cenvat Credit, as alleged by the authorities. Despite the reinstatement of the penalty, Shree Cement has stated that the order does not have a major financial impact on the company.

The company is currently in the process of reviewing the order and consulting with legal advisors to determine the next steps. Potential actions being considered include filing an appeal before the Tribunal to contest the decision.
