REC Limited has incorporated three new subsidiaries with each having an authorised capital of ₹5 lakh. These subsidiaries will undertake inter-state transmission projects.

REC Limited has announced the incorporation of three new wholly owned subsidiary companies under its arm, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). The newly formed subsidiaries are Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited, Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited, and Jam Khambhaliya Jamnagar Power Transmission Limited.

Each of these subsidiaries has been established with an authorised capital of ₹5,00,000 and a paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. As newly incorporated entities, they have not yet commenced business operations, and therefore, no turnover has been reported.

The formation of these subsidiaries follows a Gazette Notification dated 12 February 2026, issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The notification allocated specific inter-state transmission projects to these companies, with RECPDCL appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) responsible for selecting bidders for these projects.

Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited is tasked with the augmentation of transmission at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS, and Kanpur (PG). Meanwhile, Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited will focus on integrating power from renewable energy projects in the Lakadia Renewable Energy Zone in Gujarat, Phase II, with a capacity of 7,500 MW.

Jam Khambhaliya Jamnagar Power Transmission Limited has been set up for the common transmission system for evacuating power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5 GW), and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1 GW) – Part-B.

These subsidiaries are considered related parties to REC Limited as they are wholly owned by RECPDCL. However, the promoter group of REC Limited does not have any direct interest in these entities beyond their shareholding.
